  • what happened with his arm/hand?

  • Billy is an Analogman Fan !!

  • Beano Boost!!!!!!

  • Someone is still trying to make "fetch" happen apparently.... please stop ruining my memory of what an AMAZING band that the Pumpkins used to be...

  • He has put on some weight. But thats ok.I saw him couple years ago and he looked freakingly skinny.Rock on Billy.

  • "These are on eBay for like a thousand dollars a piece." Tosses it aside.

  • What's with his left hand?

  • @Crankyhappy13 port wine stain

  • Them two big muffs that Billy pulled out had little switches at the top of them. Looks like a mod of some kind, does anyone know what it could be?

  • @jacka1996 The first Big Muff he is holding I believe is the "V3" version of the Big Muff from the 1970s, the switch being a Tone Bypass that comes with the pedal. The second one he holds up which he says was the main one used on Siamese Dream is the "V4 Op-Amp" Big Muff pedal, also from the 1970s, which has an on-off switch.

  • What, no Sustain Punch Creamy Dreamer? ;-D

  • I would have never guessed Billy's talking voice...

I always imagined his most-common talking note to be about a about 1/2-to-3/4 an octave higher, more akin to him singing.

  • @sideslick1024 more akin to him whining is what I think you meant to say :)

  • @FuzzBoxGirl EXACTLY!!!

  • This is a gearslutz dream!

  • can anyone tell me if billy used a pedal effect for the following songs: where boys fear to tread, bodies, the aeroplane flies high, and geek usa and if the answer is affirmative which one? thank you, i would probably buy a fender stratocaster and the bigg muff because i know that billy used it in the first albums

  • @rodrigoNIN90 the fender blender and the micrsynth by EHX were heavily used during the siamese era... im quite sure the geek usa solo is a microsynth or a blender, as well as the majority of the solos from that album... as well he has used a lot of modular synths to process his audio

  • I would love to see a video of him plugging into each one of these and playing a bit just to see exactly what they sound like

  • loool Judging by Kerry's laughter towards the end It almost seems like Billy must be giving him the "cut, stop recording" gesture, I spotted some interesting pedals hiding in there that he may wanna keep to himself about.

  • I couldn't care less about Billy's music these days, but this was good to watch.

  • best shopping trolley in the world

  • I wonder why Billy doesn't try Bosley.

  • AWE ...SOME!

  • WEVE GOT IT ALL GOING ON........KERRY? KERRY BROWN!

  • the bee-gee!...........its pretty good

  • Billy Corgan looks like Carl Pilkington from Idiot Abroad :L

  • @BritishMetalIsKing lmao i know

  • ...Can someone tell me what effect he uses for the 1979 live performances, or when he plays Stumbleine live sometimes?

  • HAHA!! The Big Muff "Siamese Dream" settings are the EXACT same as the ones I use for that very sound! I guess my ears are good after-all... Cool

  • What the hell is going on with Billy's left hand/arm?!

  • @QuarantineThePast It's a port wine stain birthmark.

  • @QuarantineThePast

see the cover of him solo album

  • cant wait

  • you know i was expecting a happy song form pale horse, then when you listen to it, its freaking heart breaking

  • *ouch* all of that metal to metal contact hurts me! I like to keep my pedals looking brand new.

  • HE has an ZOOM G2NU! Billy COrgan uses the same pedal multieffect than ME!!!

    1:36

  • Hi, Billy. Could you please tell me what is the title of the song at 2:18? Use the link below.

    watch?v=2FGKfPWhZMQ

  • What is the model of MXR distortion exactly he showed?

  • @Dimapis2402 It's the MXR Distortion II (2). Amazing distortion.

  • @MichaelD8393 thank you) I guess it's a cool thing. Couldn't find it even on ebay(

  • @Dimapis2402 you're welcome. and yeah it's a cool and rare piece. i had to watch over mine like a hawk at the Sam Ash i work at for 3 months. it set me back $239, but totally totally worth it.

  • Broken must mean good :)

  • nice! he has a throbak fuzz my pedal of choice :)

  • what happened to his hand?

  • @CTCJakinator birthmark.

  • @CTCJakinator ...it looks more like psoriasis.

  • @CTCJakinator That's his birthmark. Hence why his first band was called 'The Marked'

  • He has more pedals than I have words

  • that "atoner" is just like.... JESUS!!!

  • that custom pedal is just like.... JESUS!!

  • The "Bloody Finger" pedal looks lovely, all shiny. There needs to be more shiny shiny pedals.

  • @PantheonLincoln just more pedals. Everyone should have pedals even if they don't play guitar.

  • @PantheonLincoln Thanks!

  • lol hell if billy doesnt want that devi ever rocket pedal i'll take it lol

  • He's buying a new home, cause he's just discovered the Behringer pedals... two of each please!

  • @Zaikar i didnt see a behringer pedal in the video

  • This is probably the most hair Billy has had since the early 90s.

  • @IcemanCDF You mean the little bit of hair he has left lol. People always thought he shaved his head for whatever reason, but hell he started going bald in '95. So long ago now that I think about it.

  • I thought they used a Fender Blender for Siamese Dream leads, not a MXR Distortion. Or did they run a MXR Phase 100, MXR Distortion, Fender Blender, and Muff all through a Mutron Biphase?

  • @MistaaMojoRisin

There's a lot going on with SD, guitar-wise.

I haven't really heard the Fender Blender clearly in use for anything apart from the live version of "Slunk" on Vieuphoria, and it's supposed to be on the middle part of "Bullet with Butterfly Wings". I think the Fender Blender is just for "noise" stuff.

  • Some load of pedals. Btw what's with Billy's left arm.

  • @MichaelD8393 - It's a birth mark

  • @naialithea oh ok i thought it was an acid bun or something.

  • And I thought I had a lot of pedals (sixteen). Clearly that's not enough....

  • Catherine fans.. here's one!

BTW, how's funny the careless way he handles those pedals? CLANK*BOOM*SDENG :D

  • @allrain

He had plenty of money and those pedals are pretty sturdy, some of them you could drop from a story up and'll be fine

  • I like how the super clean looking Boss Spectrum and Slow Gear don't even get a mention.

  • The toggle switch at the back is an "off/on" switch. If you look closely above the middle (tone) knob its marked as "off" and "on".

  • Whats the toggle switch on the backs of the big muffs?

  • Am I on!!!!!

  • WOW, some pedal effects used to record "Siamese Dream" album... A DREAM CAME TRUE...

  • my god wtf's happened to billy's hand that definetly isn't his birthmark i just saw a vid of him from a couple years ago and he didn't have it

  • @DRUMMERLORD95

he actually has had that since birth. look at his solo album cover.

  • I want those two Tone Benders!

  • When he said "catherine fans" did he mean the band Catherine Wheel?

  • @dimarziotonezone23 He meant the band Catherine. Billy claims to have stolen their sound. Kerry Brown was the drummer for the band and was also married to D'arcy. He's also the one recording this video.

  • @ExclaimedMusic Interesting... Thanks for the info man!

  • A guitarist's ultimate toy box <3

  • Did anyone else pause the vid and play the songs he mentions to hear what the pedals sound like? XD

  • Is it just me or does his voice sound different? just getting old I guess

  • Who cares about a Roger Mayer's Fuzz or solasound tonebender...

  • He keeps saying the pedals already have the setting, but they dont haha

  • @TheEchomaker

What he means is, the line marks he made on the pedals to remember where the knobs are meant to be, are still on there.

  • @TheEchomaker

What he means is, the line marks he made on the pedals to remember where the knobs are meant to be, are still on there.

  • @omniripple ohhh okay now i get it now haha thanks

  • Nice- straight from the man himself!

  • I probably paid for one of those with all the SP stuff I bought minus the record compagnie's cut.

  • no mames, ya se ve viejo el gran billy

  • Love the shout-out to catherine.

Sleepy and Hot Saki are great releases.

  • "Robin Trower overdrive...

    in case... he shows up..."

    LOL

  • From what I could tell: MXR Distortion: Drive - Full Resonace - 11 O'Clock Filter - 11 O'Clock Output - 2 O'Clock Muff: Amp - 12 O'Clock Tone - 1 O'Clock Sustain - Full MXR Phase 100: Intensity - Any Choice Speed - All The Way Down Flange: Rate - 11 O'Clock Range - 9 or 5 O'Clock Color - 2 or cranked!
  • @boogmang thanks for the help.

  • @MichaelD8393 no big glad i could help.

  • Jesus awesome collection Billy cant wait for the new album!

  • OMG>>>> THIS WAS A MAJOR TREAT!!!!!!!

  • Awesome pedals!

  • fender blender?

  • Holy! This video is insane. What I would give to try all those out

  • So, lots of phase?

  • La leyenda de Smashing Pumpkins continua.... Pumpkins forever!!!

  • "kevin shields introduced me to these...as well as the genre that I would bastardize for a good 20 years afterwards"

  • @theyearofourlordig88 HAHAHAA Yeah, cos MBV are WAAAAY more influential than the Pumpkins!! OMG thx for the lol!

  • @RockinSi

    yep, deal with it.

  • where can we find a bloody finger?!

  • COOOL!!!!! tahnks for showing us!!!!

  • That's an insane amount of pedals. I'm actually impressed that you still remember all of their uses! There's definitely some magic in there. Easily some of my favorite leads and solos ever have come from that shopping cart!

  • awesome collection! :D

  • i want to have a shopping cart filled with rare, vintage and custom pedals as well

  • This video is awesome! And that's a lotta money sitting on those carts haha.

  • Where's the Fender Blender?

  • Shocking to see so many. Love the inside look at all the toys! I wanna be there looking through those saying YO show me what this one does

  • Comment removed

  • @GiovanniAv Its a birth mark. Hes always had it.

  • Comment removed

  • Really awesome stuff! All that equipment for some awesome guitar tones!

  • Is there a place to submit fan questions? I was just wondering, so many phasers and flangers, what qualities do you look for in these different pedals (modulation)? Thanks for the background!

  • Is it me or he has gained some skin on himself? Not saying that he has gained far, just that he looks a little bit more healthier.

  • @Eldererr His hair is growing back as well.

  • My Jazzmaster and I want to hang out in Pumpkinland2.

  • Wow, as a pedal buff - this video was AMAZING!! I want to play every one of those (esp the phasers!)

  • cool peak behind the scenes

  • hay if your not using some of those pedals ill love to take whenever you dont use anymore and put them on my board

  • Lots of toys... lots of great music created with those :)

  • he must be an octopus to use all that

  • @mtsn all the ones he uses at a gig would be still on that rack but all connected to one master pedalboard with loads of switches on :)

  • @jimmyguitarman i think just one of these master controllers can't even fit all these at once, there's probably 50 pedals in there

  • What a great update! Billy is so adorable <3

  • Billy really likes striped shirts, I have noticed that. :3

  • Bigg Muff transition.

  • you're the man.

  • Billy loves his phaser...

  • I guess there are some other baskets full of pedals. ;)

Some years ago I'd be mad looking at this video :)

  • You can pretty much guarantee that Billy was teased as a kid for having that birth mark on his hand.. and you can pretty much guarantee that he turned all that negativity into all those songs we love today.

  • @CorneliusRandom

Oh,yeah...he's a big rock star and a great artist because he has a birthmark on his arm and kids made fun out of him...C'mon!

  • Holy balls! I think I just had a moment.

  • song for a son is my fave off the new record.

  • IMMOBILISE . NET

  • Billy, you need to register all this stuff with the police incase it's lost/stolen - that's many $000's of dollars worth of pedals there.

  • ha! the beegee? the BEEBAA kills it.

i have a bunxh of the same pedals (yea for someone else using a Roland Double Beat), why dont I sound like bIlly?!? :)

  • a Boss Slow Gear (at 2:39) -- now that's a rare pedal.

  • Has he got blood on his hands?

  • :DDDDDDD AWESOME!

  • @zzzsyzzz thanks, I appreciate it. Not sure how expensive they are or where to find one, but if I figure out which one it is I'll try and get my hands on one. It's my favorite solo of all time lol

  • @xlSQUIZZlx Did some research and i think it may be the shin ei Hurricane, it looks like it anyway

  • Wow... after years of watching everything Billy's released... I just now realized he had that birthmark... and always has had it in plain sight now that I look at other vids, pics and most notably The cover to The Future Embrace! Guess I was just mostly in awe of the talent all this time!

  • @Lucas311Revival I was seriously about to post the EXACT same thing...like, everything you said...and I've been a fan wince the early 90's.

  • @Lucas311Revival He had that birth mark since he was born.

  • @ZzDe0 good point.

  • @Lucas311Revival I think that's why his first band was called "the Marked" he and another guy had the same birth mark or something^^ , billy can explain better for sure:). I could be wrong though.

  • @BeckTropical And he sings a lot about it too! Rocket "The mark I've born, a mark of scorn to you". TheCameraEye "Listen, listen: This is mark I cannot place "... ;)

  • @Lucas311Revival

Birthmark? Wow, I thought it was Psoriasis.

  • @SideshowBob180 I guess you mean vitiligo.

  • @mtsn

I'm obviously not meant to be a dermatologist.

  • @Lucas311Revival nevus flammeus!

  • @Lucas311Revival its a port wine stain him and the drummer from the marked had it thats why they named the band the marked

  • Like OldUnkieAl said; this was a real treat. =)

  • Appreciate the pedal tour, Billy! An awesome collection. Makes me want to expand mine!

  • all the pedals needed for world domination!

  • What was the name of the Japanese Fuzz pedal Billy said he used for the solo in "Untitled"?

  • @xlSQUIZZlx Shin ei, not sure which one, they are ridiculous though

  • Awesome!

  • awesome!! You Rock Billy, I loved that last Tucson show! And I can't wait for the re-releases to be released.

  • Thanks for this. This is amazing!

  • I think I just crapped my pants.

  • Are you alright Billy? What happen with your hand!? Are you alright? I really love all that pedals!

  • @DivisionFire

    Its a birthmark, dumbshit

  • @xJustynLx Chill dude. But I've never noticed it before. And usually they aren't that color.
