My highest one is 1073 got jumped by that clay octo thing and a group of crabs. The whole battle was 5 hours long finally after 999 chains I got to use blackout 5 times in a row all because of that stupid calvary call. The enemy used calvary callx100 man I hate that move
there is a really easy way to get this is to do the quest wear glendis(i think thats right ) but anyway the one wear you go to arcliff and get batwings at the end just go for the large groups of landworms on the ground floor before u fight the boss
sooooo... if u just play through the game without getting ambushed (a.k.a. hitting the right trigger button to initiate battle) u WON'T get this achievment. i guess what im asking is if you go to the world map, does it reset?
u can get this achievement later in the game. like very later in the game :P when this old fashioned lady or something needs a quest done and she needs to go to avecliff or something. at the bottom middle theres a whole bunch of monsters. and by that time u should kill them in 1 shot. so u can link up to 20 links and i went there and i got like 423 chains

And how do u know what leve Ur characters are on,because some dude told me its in the top left corner and my doesn't show up entail i win i think. The number is 70 and its gold is that good? I know i sound so stupid but if u can write back to me fast as u can any one.
I got this today in the Gaslin Caves during "The Rose Blooms" is that the name? Anyway the 2nd sidequest with Violet, I cleared out both areas and when I went back to the Hypnotic whatever everything had respawned. There was also some Feral Fangs in the second area I didn't notice where there. Helpful nevertheless!
The Divians there respawn. Keep running from one end of to the other and they keep respawning. An easier way to complete this, IMO, is in a location with more than one area. Fight all monsters in one area, move onto the next, save, reload, and the monsters in the first area have respawned. This works with fighting rare monsters as well.

c´mon! IGN, 1UP and others complaining b/c it takes 6 SECONDS to LOAD a fight? even it is installed in the hard drive and takes 12 or 15 secs its ok with me if im having fun with the game. awesome vid

Well the game has slow downs but not so much that it completely hinders game play. The thing that significantly changes when installing to the HDD is loading times which are usually around 10 seconds or more and it shortens them to about 2-3. Slow downs also decrease but are still there.
so how do you keep the chain goin? do you just keep fighting? because i had 54 then it went to zero when i next played and changed some members from in my guild.
yes u have to keep the chain going in order to get the achievment ,like if you leave the area your in or the monster attacks you before you atack it you loose your chain.
hey, im very interested in this game. As for jap. rpg's, i havnt played a lot of them, but ive played a lot of the tales series, baten kaitos, and final fantasy, give or take a few others. is this game worth the buy, cuz i can use an original and interesting rpg. thanks
try running around an area with lots of monsters, after a while they should respawn like in final fantasy 12, so as long as you stay in the area you can fight endless battles.

That's correct, returning to the world map resets the chain.

that is your battle rank the more fights you win the higher it gets and when that happens the strength of monsters increases

Maybe I'm a moron, but can the monsters respawn? I've been through that area and only got a chain of 52.

I have the notification feature disabled. Got sick and annoyed of seeing "Friend is online" popping up while recording and gaming.
Sadly, disabling that disables all notifications.
