I am concerned about the plastic giving off dangerous fumes when heated as when I have experimented with heating plastic there was a strong chemical smell?
@jomc20 You should be concerened but there was virtually no smell and I did not get a headache but none the less I'd do it with a window open and a fan on to be safe or do it outside;) It is no worse for the enviroment than how the companies recycle bottles, just be sure to have ventilation;)
@thefrugalcrafter - So after having to stop to do some errands and attempt to unclog a drain... I've come back to this with the sierra mist bottle.... which is faintly green, used a purple Sharpie marker and WOW they beads look awesome! :D Very incandescent looking! :D I'm sure the flower I make from the bottom and top will be kewl too! :) Thanks again... for sharing!
I just tried this.. yes, already. Hahaha Using a water bottle like what you have sitting there.... definitely harder to color them. I tried using a clear bottle from key lime juice... the plastic was a bit too thick. Next I'm trying the 2 liter bottle from my sierra mist, but it has its own color so that should have a different effect! :D
No money for my fav hobby then I found you. Thank you so much and may God bless you.
