I have a zebra finch and i dont know if its a male or female. Its cheeks are brownish-orange.

well its good for a quarentine cage or perhaps a temp cage but from the looks of it way to small for a permanent one. Generally with birds, bigger cage is better. Just dont forget the bar spacing.. And with some birds you dont want it too big unless your gonna fill it with toys and other things for them to get into then ya cause you dont want them to get too lonely or go wild if they're somewhat tame.
