Jesus even when i started off Dj'ing when i was about 9...(years back) i knew how 2 mix into a tune on time, i used 2 hate it when people would just throw a tune into a record anywhere. Ye'd hear a crash(cymbal) & then another one 5 or 6 beats later!!! Even if da tune was properly mixed beatwise still ruined it! :(

anybody know if Virtual DJ is good for beginners

Virtual DJ can be very good, it also can be a huge cheat.

Dont record from it and release a mix and call yourself a dj.

If you dont have turntables, and cant afford them right now, yea, sure it can be good, though its not going to teach you to beatmatch unless you absolutely dont use the 'magic beat match button' and still its not the same even if you dont use that.

what it can do is teach you good phrasing. Finding where you should start one song and at what point during the playing song
