i love the part where the pa strikes a match on the fireplace. he must have one of those wooden matches because i tried to do it with the paper ones and i end up wasting matches.

Yea he had whats called "strike anywhere matches" and they are hard to find now because people consider them dangerous. The paper matches, as well as most other wooden matches must be ignited from the side of the pack and nowhere else. Just for safety.....I have always wanted to do that with matches too lol
