I'm confused. Tom Tancredo *did* get a "1-Y" deferment after telling the doctor who did his physical that he had been treated for depression. Why is he so sensitive about it now? Why should the other guy apologize for saying that? Tancredo got bitchslapped. He'd have been smarter to just pretend the comment hadn't been made. My brother did serve in war. When he became disabled a few years ago he did seek help from the VA. Thank Heavens for the VA. They were able to diagnose and treat him. Though he is now disabled, at least he receives the proper medical care/treatment/services he so needs right now.

but you gave it its best description. Medicare IS the VA system, except for old people and not vets. It's just to remind people that the system they're so afraid of (medicare) is identical in all but those treated to the VA one which they don't fear and support.

It all comes down to believing the poor should die first over the wealthy. Sadly too many rich people forget that all jobs need someone to do it and the rich rely on the poor to maintain their lifestyle in some way.

my government care is awesome, I have no idea why people would not want to pay a few bucks and get the shit I have. specifically if you have nothing right now. I have better care then my $80k a year father. my monthly meds would cost $85.92 guess what I pay nothing 100% free no co-pay I walk in I walk out no bill. I got an elective surgery free, glasses/contacts/dentist/meds I worry about nothing I'm already covered. private insurance sucks I've been there, VA care we all agree we can do better
