  • I've also been searching for this tune for 40 yrs...

Thank you so much for posting...

  • Would love to know who the session players were.

Sounds a lot like Hal Blaine and Joe Osborn on drums and bass.

  • members are SUSAN MUSMANNO, CORLYNN HANNEY, BRIAN GRIFFITH, RICHARD CARUSO from los angeles. Hit # 112 in 1969 on bell records ( 822 )

  • I've been searching for this song for a thousand years. Was this the original group that recorded it?

  • Thanks for the posting. I remember this was played on the radio in 1969.

  • There is an excellent version of this song on the LP "Tomorrow is So Far Away" by the English group Design, released in 1971 on Epic.

  • Some of the Sunshine Pop was really nice. I always loved the four-part harmonies of two women and two men. These guys were good but never got any radio play.

  • What a change! Is this the same group that around the mid 60's sang songs in a Beatle style wearing ties,etc..?I guess that they're the same group but clearly with different members,at least in here there two some women. The sound is similar to that of FIfht Dimension

  • @elyeye66 I suspect you are thinking of the Aussie group also called The Groop who were a king of bluesy/rock band.

  • @Alwintor For "king" read "kind" !!

  • @Alwintor Ah,OK,maybe..Thank you.

  • Bought this Bell single new after hearing it on a Kenny Everett radio show, had to order it, not on general release, not many people remember it, I still have the 45 !.

  • "The Groop!" LOL***;-)

  • Always loved a lot of the string/arrangements with many of the cool late '60s artists.

The Group had "stellar vocal harmony"...thanks for posting!

  • The Jet Song (When The Weekend’s Over) - The Groop [Los Angeles, California]- 1969 - "This is an excellent Sunshine Pop song that must be ear-candy for this time period." - The Groop (Sundazed)-2007. Not to be confused with the Australian band with the same name.

  • 5th dimension sounds ---Yeh!!!! : ))))))))))))))

  • Last heard it in the summer of 1972. It has brought back memories. Thanks.

  • Haven't heard this for years - thanks for bringing it back, Miles !!

  • wicked! more in the same vein?
