i watch this sametime when in my life samething goes rong...i feel than better i dont know why maiby the shipe hu burn and in the silent of the ocean start too sinking
Now im wondering who had this end theme music first japanese anime Urotsukidoji II demon womb or this? slightly different but its obviously the same riffs...hella cool. im so glad i got this ending pointed out to me cuz i thought i was going crazy when i heard this ages ago one late night. i only heard it in that anime
By far the most historically accurate of the three movies made about the events. Life on Pitcairn became ANYTHING but paradise after the arrival there.
This movie is so good and the music is so hauntingly beautiful that you want to watch it completely from beginning to the end and right through to the final credits.
It seems I'm not the only one who loved this movie (and its Vangelis soundtrack). Hypnotic. What I most liked about this film was that it portrays the characters and their motivations in such a convincing and realistic way, that in the end one is not quite sure who's the hero and who's the villain. Because there isn't any. All characters react to their cirscumstances according to their own understanding of what is right and what is wrong, and the viewer truly understands all sides of the story
Your tracking or the speed is a bit off...but this is the better version. I was sooo disappointed to have bought the cassette and hear it wasn't the same as in this end title. You can hear the woodblock and ship bell in this one!
It's a bit unusual to use a futuristic, synthesizer-based "space music" soundtrack in a historical film. However, with Vangelis at the controls, such a soundtrack can also have a very nautical feel as well, and therefore remain fitting to the story. This particular composition demonstrates this fact quite well.
Imagine what that would have felt like. "We'll never see England again" One of my favourite films of all time with an amazing cast.I am so fascinated by the whole story of the Bounty and would love to go to Tahiti one day.
all the performances were triple AAA good and all on the money, well to my mind anyway. Good good movie, agree with Douglas Edward, totally underrated.
This must be the most underated movie ever I loved everything about this film, the history, the characters, the locales, the adventure, the beautful and talented cast, but what I will remember the most is the epic soundtrack by Vangelis.
The film and music changed my life. Whatever happened to an official releease to this score? You have chose one of my favourite parts to this film. Thankyou mate!

The Bounty (1984) directed by Roger Donaldson
Shin chôjin densetsu Urotsukidôji: Mataiden (1993) directed by Hideki Takayama (for international Video Market)
So Vangelis BOUNTY-THEME was copied by the Anime.

The talentless Nazi Gibson ruined the whole movie with his awful bland performance. I hope he gets LUNG CANCER.

The opening title seems to convey a feeling of isolation--which the Bounty crew certainly experienced.

Reminds us of when Gibson seemed a regular guy.
