THANK YOU!! Finally someone else who's just as pissed as I am. I own VF4 and Vanessa is my absolute favorite character. When I saw the preview for VF5 I was like WTF, they took away EVERYTHING that made her awesome! They made her lighter, they took away all of her muscle...and it's not just Vanessa either. It seems like they trimmed down every female character in the game so they look more model-like.I too am VERY dissapointed. :-( Such a great game gone to waste.

I absolutley agree! People have a problem when good loking character are too dark skinned and so of course they have to mess it up and lighten it. Why?! I just say that Vanessa goa case of Vitiligo like michael jackson, tha's the only way I can deal with it.

I think part of the reason why the slimmed her down and change her looks is to appeal to the Japaneese fanbase, which is where VF is played primarily. Her physique made her too western for their taste and well, those guys are not too keen on the concept of diversity; just see how they portray other characters of color in fighting games. So now she's a typical stereotype: deep tan with white hair, as black as they will accept.
