This is the worst idea for a movie EVER. Who wrote this? Martians vs. Santa. WHO WOULD SPEND MILLIONS OF DOLLARS MAKING THIS?

@CoelacanthsAura They didn't spend "millions of dollars" on it. It was filmed in a warehouse on Long Island and according to IMDB had a budget of $200,000. Keep in mind that it was released as a kiddie matinee and aimed at small children (who were probably dumped off at a movie theater while their mothers did Christmas shopping.) So nobody expected a classic, and a lot of the silliness and corny humor was obviously thrown in on purpose. It was like a lot of kids' TV at the time.

This was shown on New Zealand TV a few weeks ago. My wife refused to let me watch more than ten seconds of it. A pity, this film is so insane, it could well be worth a look.

Then again...I think "Plan nine from outer space" is a classic.

You can get the whole film for free at the internet film archive online, I think. However, it basically isn't worth watching. This six minute clip pretty much shows everything of interest in the entire movie. I know the beeps are annoying tho. Also I think they did an MSTK3000 episode featuring this.

Zoldar was played by Vince Beck, a very close friend of my late mother, who was also an actress way back when. He came to our house in CT several times, and I sat on his lap, before he played this role, the nadir of his career. He went on to appear in just about every sitcom on TV.

I remember this movie from when I was a kid. I waited all week to watch it on tv. It was the worst movie I had ever seen. It could have been funny or exciting or anything entertaining. I thought the three stoogs vs. the martians was better in every catagory including fitting into the Spirt of Christmas. What did I know, I wasn't even ten. This movie sucked Reindeer bells.
