Here in Argentina having an Italian Surname is common. Maybe around 55% have Italian Ancestor. 40% are Italian Citizens. Messi, Cambiasso, Zanetti, Burdisso, Lavezzi, Angeleri, Papa, Milito, etc. are all Italian surnames.

This game was so signifigant to Italy and Argentina ,beyond the realms of football. Both nations are very close because of the deep seeded Italian anchestory in Argentina . My relatives who are Italian and live Argentina , were very emotional about this game . This is what I was trying to point out.The booing of anthem in Milan was first game Argentina Camerun I think because Naples club had success with Maradona during that period in a league usually dominated by Northern clubs, Milan, inter, Juve. The Milanese resented this and took it out on booing the home nation of Maradona. My hunch is that they were booing Maradona not Argentina, but this triggered problems that followed. No question classless on part of Milanese fans.

Gordon, Fernet is a bitter beverage made with different herbs. It's sth different, it doesnt resemble another beverage ... I'll tell you the way we drink it in argentina: First put ice, then 1/4 of Fernet and 3/4 of Coke. Hope u try it :)

Fernet is similar to Jaegermeister, a mix of liquor and herbs. You suppose to drink it pure after a big meal or as an aperitif.

The mixing it with Coke is just a recent publicity stunt to get more people (specially the young, since this is a more traditional drink) to drink it.
