  • thats nothing my old jet boat had a 150ft rooster tail

  • why oh why does that look like englebright?

  • just bought a 74 cheetah 455 olds motor has berkely pump .. had a question how does rooster tail help ? how do i install what parts are needed ? im going to havasu in a month and want to avoid as many problems as i can thanks

  • @MrLOSangelesBITCH it directs the water up. its called a diverter. they say it helps with fuel economy and makes it handle a little better. look into it on google and whip out your wallet, then have fun

  • @MrLOSangelesBITCH A diverter is more show than anything. I find my boat gets the best performance when the nozzle is pointed level out the back. I'm running a hydraulic place diverter, glad I invested the money in it versus a cable operated one. They sure do make a good show and you can hose people down.

  • imagine if it had a BBC in it holy crap!

  • 70 is no problem on one of those, my old neighbor had a blown one that topped out around 95 mph on smooth water.

  • i would hate 2 try and ski behind this thing haha

  • ear to ear smile on face as soon as he hopped on the throttle. badass

  • Thats a good friend to let you drive that shit!

  • its there so when theres choppy water it lifts the front end up higher out of the water

  • @PDLQlinebacker No, Actually you trim the Bow Down in Rough Water, you trim the bow up to loosen the boat (go Faster) on smooth water

  • hahahaha that was BRUTAL!

  • I am still waiting for the video of you with the gps in your hand going 70 dipshit, and to the other moron I said 45mph not knots 45 knots would be 50.1 mph and I prob know more about boats than both of you.

  • hehe :p well, even a kid can see that this boat is way faster than 45 knots.. =)

  • Then when it does sink I will mark t on my gps and use it as structure and catch fish off it since thats about all they are good for.

  • How Many MPH this thing crank

  • 65-70. Pretty good for a stock impeller and intake grate.

  • lol 45?

  • @casepker ..... God youre a blithering IDIOT. My 18' borum cheetah 460cid CRUISES AT 55-60 MPH at 3,800RPM. MAX RPM of my engine is 5,000.... LETS DO THE MATH SHALL WE? I HAVE ANOTHER 1,200RPMS TO GO WHEN IM ALREADY GOING 60 MPH!!! Now......when i get the boat on calm water and open it up, Guess what my GPS reads!!!!.......... 92MPH ill run CIRCLES around youre sorry ass BASS BOAT all damn day long. Oh i almost forgot to mention ENJOY MY 300+ FOOT ROOSTER TAIL.

  • @shawnco00 Add in that 1200 rpm's and I bet your boat really tops out at about 65- 68 mph. Sorry doesn't stay consistant like gearing to rpm to mph like a car.

  • why does it do this?

  • i have a jetster with a 460 ford too, it is bored 60 over with solid lifter cam, roller rockers, polished and ported heads, edelbrock victor 460 intake, holley 850 double pumper, gil headers.. we also used to take it down to billy chinook, but now we go to banks lake WA. and around Mayfield lake WA. they are fun boats.

  • hey sounds like an awesome set up! Banks lake is good for these boats...nice wide and open

  • I thought it looked familiar (the landscape anyway). We use to go to Lake billy chinook all the time when my Dad lived in Redmond.

  • is this at Lake billy chinook?

  • to small blocks you smuck thats nothing

  • i just brought a 1976 Tahiti jet boat with twin top exhast and a rooster tail im gonna go to the river to test it out tommoroo

  • congrats bro. Have fun with it but be safe. Don't want to see anymore wrecked or hurt hod rod boats.

  • what size motor u have i have a 455 olds

  • 460 Ford

  • Thats good scenery. I love being out on the water.

  • I used to work out at a lake. You could see those rooster tails from a mile away!

  • that was loww as fuck. get that shit aimed higher

  • thats a huge rooster LOL...

i cant wait for the summer so i can get my little R/C boat strapped to my jet ski and take some videos in the middle of the lake.

  • nice buddy...a friend of mine has two of those boats...the faster has a topspeed at about 130knots wich is insane....and the one he calls smaller lol has a topspeed around 65knots.

    i love those watertails!

    Keep it up buddy

  • Awesome! When that thing took off...whoa.

  • that was yours truely driving :) haha

  • Now thats a roster tail

  • I used to ski more, but now we live further from the coast...

Love summer tho, that's what I live for! Cars n girls n beach when I can get there

  • Very cool!! Nice rooster.

Can you believe that was the first boat I ever water skied behind!?! Crazy! (I was 15)

  • Thats looks like an awesome place! I see cigarette boats in Leland, MI with 2000+ hp. Its awesome to sit on the beach and watch them leave the harbor. They send roost up to what has to be a 100ft at least and you can hear them for hours even when you cant see them anymore. Lotta fast diesel cruisers too.

  • Yeah, alot of performance boats here during "the boating season"...it's soo nice here! you can actually boat up the colorado river through the Topoc Gorge, and all the way to Laughlin (Nevada) gambling/amazing views on the lower colorado river...plenty of spots for fuel etc. Bring it on!! hehe

  • Beautiful man, thats what its all abuot here in Lake Havasu, AZ.

    heard of it?

  • Awesome Boat!! Sweet Rooster Tail, how big is it, do u know? Ours throws a 32 ft.

  • Nice =)

  • Good video. Keep making more!

  • No, no, no, you're just supposed to blink like the guy at the stop light... :oP

  • AYYY! That thang gotta hemi???

  • omfg..thats the shit..wish my 12 foot tinny was that fast...you handled it well though

  • Thats a badass boat dude. I bet you had a blast in that.

  • im in portland oregon on vaca right now

  • raw power... who ever heard of a diesel jet boat.cheap compared to new boats what lake?

  • bet that got your heart pumpin.

  • Man that is sickness... I love that roar. How much can you pick up something like that for?

  • Hell of a rooster!!

  • Wow, that was awesome...great motor!

  • right on my dad and grandpa built dese from the ground up we had an orange 1 (shulda kept it) did about a buck twenty in da 1/4 mile long story short these things are awsome and gr8 vid man

  • that was nice, thanks for sharing it with me, sounded awesome

  • my dads got a 502 big block chevy with a blower on it and its a 19 foot buccaneer, droop snoop every year we go down to the mississippi and have a huge group and we all tear it up with rooster tails.

  • 0:25 I like how the way it lunched that must of been fun looks like it probably puts you back to your seat that is a bad ass boat! your friend let me drive or give me a ride on that bad boy?

  • yea you can fish and everything, but still you dont run the risk of falling off. thats fun enough for me haha. and i think the control you have over smaller jet skis, like 2 seaters, are alot more fun. sure boats can go fast and do everything that a jet ski can do, but its like a dirt bike on the water. its like comparing a car to a dirt bike to me haha.

  • BAD ASS BOAT!!!! love the roster tail

  • pretty cool man

  • I always love the sound of a V8.

  • Damn, your lucky! cool vid!

  • haha my father and i like to call these boats back burners... because you always see ppl working on them cuz they broke and the sun burns their back haha i know funny lol. nice video man prolly the only ford id respect :)

  • is it as much fun as a car or more with all that power

  • 5☆5☆5☆5☆5☆tars from: Smi-ren-ger!.....

  • i want one...

  • i want one... man thats awsome

  • this boat is fast. how did u feel like man was u scared ?? lol if that was me i will be scared lol.. nice video keep it up..

  • holy shit that thing rocks!

  • HOLY CRAP ya our boat when we tow a 3 person tube with 3 people on it has to be at almost full power to get to 40mph and personaly i think a 1986 honda civic acselerats faster

  • WOW,what a rush it must be in the seat at idle then hammer down. Cool video awesome rooster tail

  • I love the 460 Engine, one powerful engine! :)

  • damn that thing looks fast!

  • it sounds like my boat lol

  • I now want that boat :|.......i will have one lol

  • Holy sh!t!

    that is cool Ford Fast

  • haha thats pretty cool

  • all hale that all powerfull ford

  • Sweet... Wish I had a family friend with something like that. Though I am not a fan of the 460 myself (I personally think they make good boat anchors) You would have been happier with a 428 Y-block since you're a Ford fan. Those had the potential to make some serious torque and were snappier :)

  • The 460 is a Ford engine. The 428 is not a Y-block. thanks for the interest in this video!

  • The 428 was an FE motor..... not a Yblock.

  • thats what i tried to tell him. Y-blocks were 239, 256, 272, 292, and 312. i think thats all of them and their right displacement.

  • you are correct. Nice Video by the way. gotta love that ole ford power!

  • From what I had understood from what I have seen with my (little) experience with Fords was that the 390 and 428 (or 429 can't remember) had a lower set crank and ran a longer rod than usual in Fords. I was told those are "Y" blocks sorry I did not know the correct term... I knew the 460 is a Ford engine as well, our company truck has one and we're looking to get rid of it cause 7mpg sucks. Either way, cool video and I learned something more about Ford engines. : )

  • yeah dude what you're talking about with the lower set crank and longer rod is in the Ford FE big block engine series

  • im glad you took it the right way... i wasnt trying to be an ass, just tryin to get the right information out there. Thanks.

  • I'm a sailor but that's a beautiful boat. Very cool! Thanks.

  • that boat is flipen sweet!! that thing blows away my bayliner with its masove 3.0l 4clinder motor

  • awesome! that thing is sweet! beautiful scenery in the background too!

  • Nice boat

  • Cool =D

  • all that water that was cool

  • La classe mec

  • Nice kevin gotta love those powerful 460's looks like you had a blast as well, oh as well gotta love the big rooster tails. Great Work!

  • thats a sweet freaken boat

  • That is cool!

  • This was way to awesome

  • Thanks for sharing that video.

    JPilot2

  • teach your mom how to use zoom and make another one

  • i take it no one water skies with that boat

  • Nice rooster tails

  • Is it the 'surfer' pedal like the one I piloted! You need both hands on the wheel, and the boats know only one thing. FULL THROTTLE! I guess this is why so many have a foot operated throttle rather then the hand throttle, and the fact if something starts to go wrong, the instinct is to lift your foot off the accelerator 'toute suite' (fast!)

  • awesome video 5/5

  • sweetness. 5/5

  • goood men really good

  • First time I went waterskiing was behind an identical hotrod. 460, jet drive and sitting low in the water. The driver only knew "hammer down", needless to say, I never did learn to ski that day. lol..

    ps. Nice rooster tails.

  • Wow!

  • lucky you got to drive it

  • haha holy shit man. i know somebody who has dual...forget the exact amount but i think like 450 each. propeller, but still man. gas for that is like $750 a fill. and he burns like a 1/4 tank each time he goes out. that things awesome though. tie it down you got the ultimate fire hose haha. jet ski on some massive steroids.

  • hot friggin damn man that boat is b-e-a-utiful! I would love to have a beast like that! awesome vid!

  • thats friggin cool!!!

  • my friends got one with dual 454's on it, crazy fast

    those old boats drain gas!!!

  • no prob

  • damn fast boat man

  • awsome vid

  • yeah, that's one big rooster tail!

but do you think raconter would approve?

    yeah, i think he would!

  • The good life. No worries about the cost of fuel here. Gotta forget about things like this every now and then. Decent sounding and running engine. I remember being allowed to pilot a 455 Olds equipped one a while back. It was fun to be able to hear a wide open big block for more then a five or six second spurt. Hang on! It always amazes me how these boats can get up there real fast, barely touching the water. Thank you Kevin.
