I agree, the guy can play but there are sections of this song that dont need THAT much attention, I wouldnt expect drummers who worship chops to understand. Like I said Teddy is an amazing drummer but I like him better on other things, sorry

THis guy knows just how much to play. As a drummer you don't always hav to outplay everyone. He's making music not some insane drum solo.

What impressive is he's a "doubling up" player at heart, but he's "not rushing" :-) U do know what "doubling up" is, right? It's what John Coltrane did on the sax, in his solo on "My Favorite Things". He kept coming up with different chromatic runs to arrive at the notes in the melody, without changing the rhythm (or notes) of the melody! Teddy's doing the same thing, except hes' doing it using fills, instead chromatic runs :-) It's a "zen" thing! Ur motor skills literally play, while you think

I'm not saying he's not good. There's no question that he's amazing. But I could play that part, and sure many of the other people watching this video could as well. When I see a drummer do something I could do after only 8 years of playing, I don't find it impressive. That's not to say it's not good. Some of the best drummers learn after many years of playing to just keep it real and keep it simple. Teddy is one of those people. So it's not impressive, it's just good playing.
