  • next time you pull it out or take it apart keep it in one peice or seprate from each other so you no exzactally how it goes bck together

  • wtf u doing u moron

  • were the bearing on tight enough casuse that carrier should just pop right out and back in

  • ACK !!!! INVERTED Y STEERING!!!! !KILL IT WITH FIRE!!!!!!!!

then remeber that it is a hell of a lot easier to do with the tie rod out of the way and you feet pointed to the rear of the truck.

  • when u get in situations like that where its hard to get it in, pull it out, walk away and take a break, clear your mind get a drink. come back and analyze and figure out a better way. also u shulda removed that support bar, would been much easier to maneuver around. dont wanan force that in therelike that .

  • You could of put the carrier w/ring gear in the freezer over night and that would of shrunk it a little.

  • @btarrh I didn't have the time, But it's a great idea thanks!

  • @btarrh Actually the best way is to just get a pan and put your bearing in it and put it on the stove on medium for 5 min. works great.

  • I am replacing my rear axle bearings currently, but am curious how hard is it to get to the inner axle bearings? I am working on the rear not the front, I have a 97 wrangler sport, with a dana 35 rear diff. I am wondering if I could do one side at a time without having to remove the entire carrier.

  • @w8tlftr4u Ya you would have to take the diff out of the carrier and the axle shafts out. well as far as I know any ways the inner bearings are on the diff. I hope it went well for you! Let me know how it went!!

  • @442olds1972 Thanks for your reply ,I initially took my ride to a trans shop and they said it would be 2-3g to fix my diff without even opening it, I learned watching alot of vids and replaced the outter axle bearings and taking all exposed apart freaking a little when the spider gears fell out, but I figured it out ,I replaced the pinion seal as well was leaking, putting the proper tork on the pinion nut was a guess game I went 1/2-1 turn futher than prior. alls great fixed for 120.00 bucks!

  • @w8tlftr4u You should have just went with a Dana 44 or a Ford 8.8 Rear end. The Dana 35's are junk. If you ever consider doing any major 4 wheeling or getting a locker you'll waste your money on a Dana 35. I put a ford 8.8 rear axle in my jeep and a eaton elocker and has been great.

  • piche vato no sabe lo ase. mejor que valla limpiar el patio

  • Dead blow hammer or sledge and a block of wood make life easy

  • looks like a pain in the ass

  • Ya it sucked! I didn't know what I was doing.

  • oh and how the hell did you get the diff. out without pulling the axle shafts out?

  • We all ready had the axle shafts out. I was driveing the jeep for a week before the spider gears got here.

  • it would've went right in if you had a housing spreader.

  • I didn't know of such a thing! Thanks!
