The reason for the ignorance problem in America is because of "pop-culture" and the media. If such things didn't exist, days would be like the 40's & 50's when there were actual family morals. Now-a-days, people get pregnant at a young age, drop out of high school, watch pointless reality shows, and continue to demoralize this country. I'm American, and I'm not proud on our people's behaviors...but what can you do about it, with a country so large. Of course, this is not true of all people. :)

I'm wondering if ignorance of Americans is the real source of your frustration. Also, there may be a reason many Americans aren't too familiar with the United "Kingdom." I've found that, generally, Brits have a more developed sense of humor than Americans - like the guy in one of my videos. Oh, wait, he's from South Africa. I agree that ignorance is certainly a rant-worthy topic. I wont harp on your flawed, albeit hilarious, source of information as it looks like other posters have already covered that ground. As accuracy is particularly important in a rant against ignorance, I did want to point out something I noticed:

Fidel Castro is no longer the president of Cuba (hasn't been since early 2008) nor was he the 23rd president; he was the 22nd president. Raul Castro, the current president, is the 23rd president.

The 1995 TIMSS survey is the only TIMSS I can find right now that directly compares Canadian and American students. (The 2003 TIMSS doesn't seem to have surveryed Canada as a whole, instead surveying the provinces of Quebec and Ontario by themselves.)

Anyway, the 95 TIMSS of 8th graders shows that Canadians got a better average score in math than did Americans, but Americans got a better average score than Canadians in science.

Overall, I would have to say that this is very good video. It is humorous and in some areas, imformative.

Just an advice: If you emphasized or stated that "some americans could be so ignorant" (which I believe you meant to say) instead of making it sound like "americans are ignorant", this would save you from a lot of conflict. It is good to argue here and there but its never good to be too harsh or insultive. But again, overall, good video!

Anyways I do agree that Americans could be ignorant at times when it comes to foreign policies and the climate crisis (I had an interesting american comment on my video about the climate crisis). However, not all americans are necesarily ignorant and the survey that was taken only demonstrated americans with the bad answers.
