  • why is her forehead so wrinkly?

  • do you give them baths? just wandering

  • @mizlaquita No they spend much of their time grooming themselves and keeping clean :)

  • Thank you guys from the Big Cat Rescue. My hat goes off to you for keeping well kept cages and inclosers for these Big Cats to have a ball in. For "Peta" Members If you say one bad thing about this Rescue Center for big and wild cats. You will have to deal with me and a whole a lot people before you set foot on their Land and start Accusing. Got That!!! (Sorry, Big Cat Rescue. I hate those people)

  • shes beutiful , shes sooo healthy lioness , gj BCR

  • major FAIL at 1:08 :P

  • they should put one of those lionesses straight out of the african safari to school this fat & lazy cat.. i seen lionesess on animal planet that have their leg muscles like totally fucking defined!!! this one is just overweight -.-

  • Nikita is a good weight, when we rescued her from a drug raid she was severely underweight, since then she has grown into her frame :)

  • @Rarez2 dude - STFU! they ought to get one of "those lionesses straight out of the african safari" to school your ignorant ass! tard.

  • why is there a flab dangling on the lioness and on the tigers?

  • Many big cats have this which they use to stretch when jumping etc.. It's more prominent in the tiger Shere Khan, he wasn't fed the correct diet at a young age and didn't develop properly (shorter legs)

  • shes a fatty. she looks happy

  • Man you guys are fucking heroes

  • What a majestic beautiful beast

  • wow shes beautiful!! ha those Tigers were drooling over her XD

  • A Lonely Queen now needs her King.

  • It's really tough introducing two mature cats together, I doubt Nikita will ever have a male lion as company, but she will probably be happier without one!

  • nice

  • what a beautiful girl! how old is she....for her situation she appears to be in really good health! so glad she has a good home now.

  • DOB 2/3/01 so coming up to nine years of age, still fairly young for a captive lion :)

  • Shes cute :) And chubby XD

  • More space for the lions yay!!!

  • isnt she a beauty?

i would love so much to work with such amazing animals, and hopefully one day i will :)

  • She is, good luck in the future, they are amazing animals to work around.

  • Wonderful place and view :-)

  • so cute!!

  • Great job!

  • Thanks.

  • She's gorgeous! I'll bet she's happy to be in her new enclosure. It must be a million times better than whatever crap she was subjected to before she was rescued.

It's rather sad that so many drug rings are getting involved in wild animal trafficking or just keeping them as "pets" in order to appear touch, especially when it involves large and often dangerous animals. On top of being incredibly cruel for the cats, it also puts so many people at risk, including innocent civilians.

  • You are 100% right, they say the trade in illegal wildlife is second only to the drug trade now :(

  • Lions RULE!!! I love Lions.

  • Me too! They're my favorite!

  • Ohh, I am soo happy for Niki, she looks delighted - but won't the adorable Snorkel miss his lake access? Are you going to post a vid of him in his new enclosure? Also, (hate to be a pest, but....) did our big cat friends get their pumpkins yet? :o)

  • She does lover her new enclosure, Snorkel is real easy going and all our tiger have big pools in their enclosures to enjoy. Some of the smaller cats have gotten their gourds, but we haven't given out many pumpkins yet stay tuned though :)

  • I'm glad another beauty has found a home in your rescue!

  • (the music in the beginning remind anyone else of Yoshi's Island?)

good for nikita!! she looks happy :3

  • Thanks for watching!

  • Le femme Nikita! So sweet!

This big girl needs to do abs(Look at her tummy), and do a bit of plyometrics!(couldn't jump on the whatever structure that was) LOL :)

May God Bless Big Cat Rescue

  • She got up there eventually! That's on of her big den boxes in the center of the enclosure, she's a good weight though, no need for dieting just yet :)

  • I hope Snorkel is as hapy in his new space and Niki lion is in hers....

One can almost see her smiling.

Do we think she'll swim in the lake?

  • Snorkel is enjoying himself too, he's easy going and Flavio and Modnic make good neighbors :)

  • aaaaaw she seems to love her new home lol!!!

  • aaaaaaw she is gorgeous!!!

  • Agreed :)

  • I was just concerned about the height of the enclosures you guys had here.

Big cats are tricky, there was a tiger the other day that hoped 8meters over an electric fence and killed a worker.

  • Where did this happen?

  • somewere in australia i think but im not sure. they said a mechanic or like an engineer was fixing something and it was annoying the tiger. The tiger was got angry to the point and hopped over the fence and killed him right on the spot.

  • Was this recent? I will have to research it, thanks.

  • Enjoy your new home Beautiful! =^..^=

  • They're so pretty!

  • Wow, she's huge

  • She is a BIG girl she used to be very lanky looking but as filled her big frame out a lot in the past few years, so she looks very impressive!

  • Every person and every critter should have the right to a happy life and an ability to feel and connect to the natural world around us. Blessings to all of the folks that get that principle and devote their lives to trying to make it so for all that live and breathe. They show what we are sooo capable of.

  • Thanks for commenting :)

  • What a BOOT!

  • she's gorgeous and probably knows it.

  • Yeah probably she acts the clown a lot too, she's a funny girl :)

  • Thanks for watching!

  • i love lions they rule oh and coaxed was one of my vocab words just felt like saying that I really wish I could visit her but sadly where I live its too cold for a lion to even be in our zoo

  • Thats too bad, where do you live?

  • Thanks for watching!

  • im so glad for her =) yay

  • as a Floridian; I MUST SAY THE BIG CAT RESCUE IS THE BEST. YOU GUYS KEEP UP THE SUPER WORK

  • Thanks! We will :)

  • Nikita IS gorgeous and I'm so glad she's loving her new cat-a-tat! She is large, and stripey on her forehead. But she's 100% lion?

  • It's strange how she still as some stripes on her legs too, but you're right she is 100% lion and a BIG one at that!

  • can you give specifics? she looks huge!!! a lot more bigger than an average female it seems...

how tall is she at shoulder? how long it is excluding tail? how much does she weight? thanks.

  • very beutiful,i love animals nice vid

  • good for her!

  • She's beautiful and I know she's loves her new home! She took the move in the small cage so well too.

  • She loves Scott so he just coaxed her up into the transport cage and she went for a short ride to the front of the sanctuary, I think the cats like it really :)

  • Beautiful CATS!

  • Thank you!

  • She's so beautiful!

  • Nikita is a bit fat since the last video, no? Good job with new enclosure!

  • Such a pretty girl. She looks truly happy to be in a new home.

  • Thank you for sharing with us. Love those videos and good job guys.

  • No problem, thanks for watching :)

  • she's a very huge lioness, very beautiful :)

  • She is a very big girl very lanky and she's been filling out her frame the past couple of years so she looks very good!

  • Very sooo cute Nikita new house :-) Good lucky :-)

  • Nikita is the best! She's too adorable. How come she changed enclosures?

  • We do this if we want to improve their old enclosures and switch cats around at the same time, it's a great source of enrichment for them!

  • such a lucky cat!

  • Beautiful girl, that Nikita. =3 I am so going to look into getting a job here! Im your guys' number one fan. =D

I have a question, how do female cats mark their territory? Is it the same as male cats?

  • actually, you won't find many female cats marking their territory in the wild... it's the malas' job to do it... but maybe leopards do it as they're lonely animals... and i suppose they "spray" their territory limits with their urin...

  • many female cats do spray i believe. the lions do it mainly for territorial purposes. but the information recieved from these sprays are astounding. the female might spray if another male is in its territory and it has children. like a tigress. but also they spray just so other tigers know someones here and when they were here and which way they went. all from the scent mark

  • that's what i just said... tigers are nonely animals like leopards... but i don't know whether lionesses that live in a pack spray... i doubt that...

  • Yeah, they do all cats spray male/female, solitary/living in prides

  • really?? guess you learn something every day!xD

  • It's nice to meet our number one fan! Females just pee on everything too like the male cats, plus scratch and rub on things to leave their scent as well :)

  • aww looks like she loves her new home :) loving the text as well thats funny. doing an awesome jobs guys :D

  • She is loving it, she likes it up on top of her den box too, she must of found an easier way up there!

  • I am curious.. was Nikita abused or good shape before you got her new home? she is in very good shape in tape but i am curious about her history.. good luck NIKITAAAAA pet her head..

  • She was in real bad shape when we rescued her, underweight and swellings on her joints from lying on a solid surface for too long. If you check out the description to the video there's a link to her intro video with lots of info about her past and character :)

  • Aww she got such a big enclosure! Hope she can make it her own :)! As always, you guys are amazing <3

  • Nikita must really like her new habitat. when she went on top of her little cave thingy instead of into it, she reminded me of Snoopy from Peanuts. ^-^

  • She is loving it! And she's found a easier way up onto her den box now!

  • She looks so happy!

  • That's our aim, we do as much as we can for our cats :)

  • Ya won the lotto, Nikki girl. :-)

  • yep jackpot! I want her to start swimming!

  • Did they 'declaw' her front paws? It is great to see her have room to move around, explore and experience new things. Great job!

  • Yes, Nikita is declawed front and rear unfortunately.

  • it's great that they have so much space! especially since they actually have hiding places and it isn't like a fishbowl for people to see.

  • We agree, and this is their space 24/7 they can go run around at 2am in the morning if they feel like it and sleep under the stars every night!

  • nice!! welcome to your new come nikka! only thing missing is a female tiger in there so they can fight to the death!

your fans are looking forward to that video BCR! don't disappoint the fans! =D

    as always,

    your #1 FAN

  • "only thing missing is a...fight to the death!"

    -Isreal4realz

Isreal4realz has been spectatoring the "blood sport" of Israelis murdering Palestinians for too long, I guess...:-(

  • Way to bring politics into this. Especially one sided politics. How many innocent civilians have suicide bombers killed in Israel? Both countries are like global 3 year olds. "STOP TOUCHING ME!" "HE TOUCHED ME!" Maybe if both sides were given bottles they would calm down.

  • apharot - I know few, if any israelis killed.

But you're right, this is not the place, and I should have allowed the trollish message of the israeli poster "isreal4realz" to sit unanswered.

PM me if you wish to discuss this further.

  • women lions scent mark? I never knew that. And it seems that lions aren't very good rock climbers :P

  • Yep, she's found an easier way up there since her first attempt, i like how cats act like nothing happened :)

  • Yeah, LOL....."No one saw that right?"

  • That's one big lion! Almost looks like a liger.

Great job on it by the way. Big Cat Rescue Rocks!

  • Such a pretty girl.

    ^.^

    Her name is adorable.

  • Great!

  • Nikita looks like such a happy big kitteh!

  • What a nice new home.

  • Cute :)

  • at 1:18 she looks like queen Sarabi from the lion king!! <3

  • oh yeah!

  • You're right!

  • cute

  • nice one!

  • I understand this might sound both stupid and paranoid but can Nikita jump the fence from her new found vantage point? Kind of like how the lion (or was it a Tiger) did at the Washington DC zoo a couple of years ago. I noticed that behind her new house there was a tree and then a fence behind that tree. So okay. Sorry.

  • We get this question alot, because the larger enclosures like the 1 acre Nikita just got as no roof. But the walls are very high, Nikita is declawed and lions/tiger sare bad climbers and we have two sets of hot wires that will shock them if they even tried. But her den and trees are long way form the perimeter also, so there's no chance she could get out :)

  • Ah okay. Thank you. I was just wondering about that when I was looking at the video. And if it not much of a bother, Nikita looks huge. Where is she from?

  • What a cool new home for her, and lol the part when she tried jumping on that hill thing was hilarious XD

  • I'm so glad I caught that on film!

  • Really beautiful and gorgeous! :) Lovely new home <3

  • i love tigers ty for taking her in

  • She's absolutely gorgeous!

  • Shes a big and beautiful lioness. :D

I love all the cats at BCR xD

    Big cats <3

  • lol i love the part when she tries to jump up :P GO NIKITA!

  • That was funny = lion jump FAIL!

  • hehe i liked how she looked away after she didn't make it

    acting like it never happened

  • Yep, "what are you talking about" I got it on film Nikita don't deny it :)
