She doesn't look that bad. I'd rather she looked imperfect than have her sprayed with all sorts like they do these days. She is an attractive and striking girl who can act. That is all that is required.
Which version? If you´re talking about the kiss thing then the only version where that happens is the book. Any movie shows that which is a pity.
Actually I think the only man who kisses Esmeralda on the mouth is Frollo. The book doenst make any reference that Phoebus´s kisses are on the her lips.

this is one of the best verions of Hugo's novel because it's really accurtate it goes right up with "notre dame de Pairs" musical version for me!

Not quite. I´m still waiting for a version that makes Frollo kisses Esmeralda after stabbing Pheobus. After all, that does happen in the book.
