I love your reviews, but in support of 00oli00123, the game is pretty easy. I played the first game, and I learned this game continued similar patterns. Once memorized, it wasn't difficult. Of course, some bosses mix it up, which is why it might take a few more tries to beat them.

While individual videos may not rack up huge views, we still get a considerable amount of people viewing our work each day. As for why it's still 'popular' that may have more to do with your personal viewing habits (history) and Google's search personalization. Good day sir! :D

@AppSpy I got pretty lucky with a lot of chests, and saved up for the iron rod. I also bought a few nice gems to increase it's power and I used all my skill points on attack. My strategy is dodging a load of attacks (which is easy when you dual wield) then doing a 5 hit combo, when the enemy starts attacking again I use magic and then do a special and spam tap the screen. I agree, it wasn't easy but it IS possible

@00oli00123 I honestly have trouble believing a lvl17 character beat the entire game - at that level you would have neither the weapons or the armor to sustain any hits (practically 1 hit deaths) and the damage output would be so low that fights would take forever. So no, I don't believe I'm getting things mixed up unless you happen to be quite god-like at the game (in which case your statement of 'too easy' doesn't apply to 99% of people playing ;) )

@luaudesigndf Not really. They made dodging less reliable by having you get tired after a few dodges. There's a lot of characters who WILL fuck your shit up if you can't parry their moves. Heavy weapons are insanely powerful, but all you can do is block in 3 directions or parry, meaning you have to have your parries on point.

A QUICK WORKAROUND for IPT4g! Bump if it works so everyone can see! This is simplified from the one I saw on IBforum.

1. Wait for the splash screen (Infinity Blade II) to appear. Press home button TWICE to see the multitask bar

2. Wait for the flash to go across a few times go back to the game.

3. Once the screen turns black it is loading. Open the multitask again and wait for the game to load! Then it should work.

I bought the original Infinity Blade a few months ago and I do play it every now and again when the mood strikes me. I have not beat it yet but I do enjoy it when I do play it. My question is, do you think there is enough new gameplay to warrant buying this sequel? I dont want to waste money and memory on a game I already own.

"or 3rd gen or higher iDevice...". Just a word of warning for some. Infinity Blade 1 is crashing constantly on my iPod touch 4th generation and on my iPad 1. My friend cant play Infinity Blade 2 due to the same crashing. Play on an iPhone 4, 4S or iPad 2 for best results. Atleast until they fix this.

@Davek1013 As much as I love IGN, AppSpy has never intended to rip off the format from Gametrailers as they have. 'Rushed' isn't correct - I'm reviewing a game... I'm not its PR agent and I have no vested interest in sugar coating the experience by only showing perfect gameplay or the best bits of the game. Furthermore they're IGN, they can take the time to delay their videos because they provide more than iPhone reviews; this is not a luxury we have. I'll try harder, but no 'redo' ;)

@AppSpy Well saying I didn't listen wasn't correct either, but this review was a good one for people who hadn't played the original, but not much "new" is shown. Not saying you have to have perfect gameplay but its pretty clear you didn't get that far into the game. You didn't mention the voice-acted narrative, and you said to iSpesh you basically didnt have the time to put the different weapon styles into the game.

@Davek1013 To me, it just kinda felt like you took a highly polished game and took only a little more time to review it than say, Wheres my Water, or Muffin Knight. Clearly This is a different caliber of game. Anyway I'm just a fan with my own opinions, not trying to tell you how to do your job. Only giving you criticism because you said I didn't listen when I did, you just didn't show me :-)))

@Davek1013 As mentioned, I had finished the game, my comment to iSpesh was in regards to filming the new weapons - I recorded a chunk of my gameplay (about 30 minutes) around what was near the half-way point and concentrated on finishing the game itself. One thing I will admit is that I should have discussed the voice-acting more, but it feels like about 2/3's of it occurs in the beginning of the game so I may have unconsciously diminished its worth given the long silence ;)

@iSpesh I did explore them, but only when I had the time/money to invest in to them - you're better off sticking to a weapon type and mastering it exclusively, otherwise you never really get the feel of how to defeat enemies efficiently (especially as they learn newer and more complex moves) - to each their own though :)

This really looks like more of the same, but with new models. The only new feature I could discern from the review was Gems, and new weapon categories i guess, but does that really mean anything? I was hoping for improvements like the ability to walk around, or at least add something to the Dodge, Block, Parry system. but that all looks exactly the same. Oh well. I'll probably pick it up when it goes on sale for 3 bucks sometime down the line.

@Davek1013 Clearly you didn't listen - the combat system is revised with parry, dodge, and block working the same, but having more complex interactions in the combat itself. Dodge can only be used a handful of times in a row and can also be 'held' now. (cont.)

@AppSpy Well, you stuck to sword and board the whole video, you didn't really show off much of the revised system, I assumed it's pretty much the same. Like, how exactly is a third dodge different than block? it uses exhaustion? Two handers? im assuming they have some sort of block rating? :-p Nothin against you guys, I love the site and your reviews, I'm just not convinced more Customization means a deeper game. For example Take TF2 hats. They are fun, but not important.

@Davek1013 Parry is much the same, but now also opens up thrust counters but also interacts with weapons/items based on how accurate your parry is. Block is similar to parry and also creates 'breaks' for attacks and depending on the blow you can still take damage. Add in the multiple strike varieties for the new weapons (heavy weapons gain bonuses for additional strikes in the same direction, twin blades give you a third dodge direction) and the combat is far more customizable.

@bigsteamfan This is not a RPG game. Try to search it at the role playing section in app store u wont find it but u will find it at adventure section. The speciality of this game is the graphics and the time. I bet u cant find any single game like this one great graphics and great gameplay... You dont need to walk cause the whole enviroment is georgeus. You just dont like the adventure games thats all.

@appspy infinity blades story kinda left me hanging big time after I defeated the godking. I never got to wield the infinity blade it was just empty that castle is smaller them it seems and what's the deal with the iPod I find with a seems like some kind of galaxy map. Do they answer all these questions? Or go in another direction. I really wish they'd allow free exploration like in there castle game it's 1st pov. But haven't even finished 75% of ib1

@zorkor I know, rite ? I think this game is very lame. Yes, it does look gorgeous, and it does have a couple of RPG mechanics. But.. You can't do ANYTHING in it. You can't EVEN walk, as far as I've seen. All you have to do is look around at some points, enjoy the grafix, then swipe your fingers furiously on the screen.. If only you could walk and explore the beautiful surroundings in third-person mode, like a true RPG.. But no, gameplay-wise this is nothing but a failed tech demo hack-and-slash.

@Pixelements Because the 4S has a far better graphical chip and optimizations will always make it look better than the 4. If he owns a 4 I wouldn't recommend the upgrade, but if I had a 3G I'd consider it a worthwhile move :)
