And what about dts and dolby live being sold by creative??? i am kinda confused cuz i tought that the optical output is in fact 2.1 (creative says that this optical output is 2.1, and if u want 5.1 u have to buy dts and dolby live), Do you know anything about that?? do i have to buy the dolby live to get 5.1 through optical in games?? I had read so many stuff... thx if u can help me men!!!
dude, the output from the creative fatal1ty is 2.1 or 5.1 in your case? or u managed to get 5.1 through the optical? how did u connect the soundcard to the receiver to get surround?? thx in advance!!!
I was using analog to get 5.1. the optical cable is the input from my 360( I let the x-fi process it). but now with the newest drivers the optical outputs 5.1.
I don't know if this has been asked before but why two 360's? And how's the car subs?

I never bought those decoders but yes, 5.1 worked for me...I am using the daniel K drivers though.
