Steam Winter Treasure Hunt - How to get "The Kids Xmas!" really easily.

I did this is one sitting (sort of, had to go out in between levels once) wasted one and a half hour. Didn't get the achievement cuz it ain't christmas anymore, am I a gaming god? =P

That's not the good achievement : you have to make all the levels in a row (impossible)

got 4 levels done the legit way, at the last (the one with those precise jumps where you spawn bottom right and bandage girl is top left, and all those spinning shit is in the middle) the game decided to crash and as you have to do all levels in one sitting ill just dont give a fuck about that piece of coal i would get and dont do this again, instead ill continue getting my last 30% up to the 100% rating by finishing the dark world

You don't need to be a "gaming god" to beat these levels. They aren't any harder than dark salt factory or dark forest. What they manage to do is look really hard, though.

They are much harder than the dark salt factory and the dark forest.

But if you play them a lot, they become easier.

It's still much harder to complete these levels without dying than getting the squirrel or missile boy achievement ^^

(but steam actualy wanted to put this achievement as the present one but they screwed up and put the harder one in :P)

Actually, it's not trolls at Team Meat. They sent Steam a mail when they noticed, but Steam wants to keep the Golden Gift achievement because they like it better. :p

I don't think the achievement unlocks when you use the save file, you need to do it yourselves. Considering how easy it is to do it it shouldnt be hard, if your game crashes try taking a look at team meat forums or something.

I just paste your save in the same folder and replace the old but how do I get the archivement? because I run the game and dont get it

Before you start trying to get this, Team Meat just posted on Twitter that the achievement is supposed to be 'The Kid's Xmas', which only requires beating one level. This achievement was posted as a mistake. They should be fixing it soon. Just beat 'Sweater' using the wall exploit.

Once I saved the file and started the game it didnt immediately give me the achieve, but I completed the 5th level in the kids xmas and then it gave the achieve, so it does work.

You can't click Esc to go back to the map or it won't log your progress. Press Space to go to the next level and you get the achieve.

So... I did the level using this exploit, didn't get the achiev. It didn't even log my progress, and the level still appears as incomplete. Used the save game provided with the video, and still no dice.

@luizfalves OK, now it worked... I pressed Spaced (to go to next level), instead of pressing Esc (go back to map), and the achiev popped... Not sure if is there any relations, though...

@arvuti12 Are there any special instructions for using the save? I copied it over and see the progress, but nothing is unlocked. I am absolutely terrible at these games and have avoided them since I tried SMB. I tried to copy what was done in the video but my twitch skills are really, really poor and I just can't get the hang of it.

@gurvien Nevermind, I used this trainer goo(dot)gl/cE34X and used floating mode + no damage from environment. I just searched Google for 'Super Meat Boy trainer' and it was one from the CheatEngine forum (on his site, it's the +11 trainer).

Now I feel accomplished.

I wonder if this is a bug or intentionally implemented? It might sound weird to put it in on purpose, but knowing how people get upset if the objectives are too hard, perhaps this was put in as an alternative. Well, I guess we'll know for sure if it gets patched or not.
