The first time I even heard of AFI was when I saw the Miss Murder music vid back when it came out. I instantly fell in love with this band. I've listened to everyone of their cd's and I love them all. I'm not a HUGE fan of Crash Love, but I fully support them. And even still, the bonus tracks are SICK! All time fav band from 06- to forever. My favorite CD is Sing The Sorrow for sure though.

Someone could hear AFI just now, and get into them, and I would fully respect them. I myself was introduced to AFI in 2006, and since then, I have heard a variety of their songs from all of their albums. I truly feel like I've been a fan all along.

as much as i really dont care for decemberunderground, i can not help but feel a closeness to this song. dave has a genius of a mind and an incredible talent for writing meaningful lyrics that people can get in touch with. absolutely sensational. i love afi with every cell in my body. thumbs up if you're the ones with the radiating eyes :)

It's not a complete match, however, and the chorus (same as the intro/verse just played faster) is nothing alike. The prechorus is unique, and this whole bit about the bridge/outro has nothing to do with this other song.

The intro, however, does sound similar.

I've been listening for 9 years. Having listened to most of their East Bay Hardcore in comparison to now I must respectfully disagree. They came along really well with Black Sails In The Sunset, and pulled through with Decemberunderground. I feel it was one of their strongest, along with STS and their new one, Crash Love. They have matured and played THEIR OWN music. Most new fans like DU so much because it was their first or second AFI cd, after they got more exposure.

I'm SO SICK of people battering DU. I've heard almost every AFI song. I LOVE AFI (concert tonight! woot!!!! ^^) however, DU was fantastic, as are all their albums. It's fine if you want to say "I thought other albums were better" but you don't have to post comments degrading the album and those of us who like it. I personally think it had great meaning.

i see where you're coming from. yes, i am one of the fans who didn't like du, but it wasn't the worst album ever. it has some bright spots. endlessly she said is good, so is 37mm (blaqk audio-ish). but, the best one on there is kiss and control. other than that, it really doesn't stick out to me when i think of afi. the albums that come to mind when i think of afi would be sts and the art of drowning, and of course black sails, which is their strongest, in my opinion.

This was actually the video of their cover Just Like Heaven, done in a Cure tribute special on MTV. That song has specific parts that are done a keyobard. That's why you see a keyboardist but don't hear it in On The Arrow.
