I think that last phrase that nobody can understand might just be "you're welcome". It doesn't make sense, but that's what it sounds like.

we have whelens too. what is the sound at 00:18 sec? i've always wondered.

@xthemwordx they are called DTMF tones.. whoever is operating the siren sends them to the siren and it tells the siren what to do.. like one DTMF tone tells it to do a wail and anotehr tells it to do alert.. etc. etc.

thanks.
The lady had a southern accent! Now that's cool. Ours sounds like a robot: This. Is. A. Severe. Weather. Warning. Seek. Shelter. Now. ... 5/5 stars.

HAaaHaaa. This video made my day. It is the south but if people know what actually goes on behind scenes they would realize how much is required. :)

they're on a college campus and there are many of them (7 to be exact) so that voice calls can be heard clearly, like in case of a shooter on campus.

haha, yeah, it's english. but it's the south.. so may not be the clearest
Excelant! I think this is the first time we've hear LV rather then DV, but I think she needed to slow down & talk like a DV.
And was it me or did the siren's pitch alter ever so slightly through out the vid?

I'd say they should have gone with a prerecorded announcement. Probably would have been a little clearer. Great vid btw!

THANKS! I agree! Prerecorded announcements are used during Tornado Warnings however, which is good!
it probably wouldn't be too bad if she just talked slower and more clearly
