Ok, so this is what I get from Creed's flashback: little Creed gave his mother roses and tries to tell her that he loves her, his mother has been drinking (perhaps the whole day) and beats him over the head with the roses and tells him how worthless he is. Creed gathers up the roses. Later, mom drinks until she passes out, little Creed runs away, giving up any hope of mom loving him. He is pursued by policemen and savagely beaten, and that's when the Creed we know emerges.

It breaks my heart :'(

Twenty episodes later, this is still ridiculous: Creed kills indiscriminately, manipulates without a second thought, murders Saya slowly, and plans to create a Hell on Earth and rule it as a god forever...and yet the only reason you people hate him is because he's gay. The only thing I like better in the anime than in the manga was the way saya was protrayed. In the manga when she died, I was just "That sucks" but in the anime I actually sort of teared up when it happened. If the manga started the way the anime did and then continued with it's regular story, then it would be perfect.
