Good idea for the sprinter especially the work vans for winter or if you use one to take your quads/snowmobiles up north and need to go down some muddy/snowy roads to get to the trailhead
@Silentalarma Well you can't really do hardcore offroading in a vehicle with such a long wheelbase, still better than some 4wd vehicles (Think BMW suvs)
@DMSComedy It shouldn't be compared to the passanger cars. Instead to the Mitsubishi Canter, Toyota Hiace, VW transporter T3 and cars alike.
As i live in Finland and i'm professional driver, i actually don't consider any "4x4" as off-road capable if it has trouble going forward when it starts to lose friction on cross wheels. Like tyres on front left and rear right lose friction, no power is transferred to the other two theels because of the lack of differential locks of any sort.
the negative side of those 4x4 vans is, that in the case of mercedes cost over 50000€. autsch

So this is supposed to be off-road capable? Hardly can go over a ditch... But yeah, could go for very snowy roads.

I can see something like this for skiing trips at Alpental or for driving in the Midwest (USA) where there's snow for much of the winter.
