  • Are you going to folow up with a YouTube video with 2011 figures sometime soon?

  • Meet Asian women lushfmlk.info

  • A great stuff for Social Media and internet usage! Thanks for the statistics and its nice to know that all the information in the video was researched by the Oxford Research Agency in the UK, this means that this is a reliable video! This is Great!

  • A great insight into social media - this area is growing every day - good video

  • FaceBiz Pro is a new application or tab where you can create a customized personal page allowing you to market yourself, product or opportunity.

You'll be able to earn money selling this Facebook tab.

This will be launching in December of 2010, get in now.

  • Yes, good to come across an up to date (based on Facebook hitting the global 500m mark) video of UK-specific social media stats. But you and TORA really do need to add sources for all of these. If they've done the research that this is based on that shouldn't be too hard.

Add them here, or as a link, or as an overlay on the video. I'd love to quote some of these stats but I can't until you can substantiate them with references.

  • Nice video on UK stat's for internet usage & social media - thanks SimplyZesty! I found it via the LinkedIn Digital Marketing Group.

  • At last some UK relevant stats but do I believe them. And what can social media do for me.

  • There's a thirst for current UK social media stats and this nicely made piece could go a long way to helping. So please, do get your TORA friends to add a clickable, checkable list of reference sources to the video as it's too easy to be cynical when they are not there. At least that's what 75.4% of those that have viewed this think. :)

  • It's good to see a video like this done form a UK point of view, not a US one.

  • G8t video - stats all feel comfortable to me the only one that doesn't resonate with me is a quarter of people writing a blog - but let's not split hairs - it is great to have a 'Socialnomics' style video for the UK - so thanks for making that happen. You guys and gals rock.

  • OH really simply zesty .... So you got these so called facts from the people who just invested in you. Thats interesting

"The Oxford Research Agency (TORA) is investing €500000 in Simply Zesty, Ireland's largest social media firm"

  • @numberonedu Made this very clear in previous comment below that we partnered with them.

  • Music is by DJ Dano of shindigrecords for those that asked.

Video by @JamesDohertyEsq and Tara McLaughlin

  • Nice video, I'd like to share with my students - if you quote your sources. Some of the figures look dodgy to me...

  • Just for everybody wondering who researched this is was done by the Oxford Research Agency in the UK who are a partner of ours. If anybody wants me to put you in touch with them email me or just Google them, they also go by the name of TORA and will help you with all your market research needs.

  • @SimplyZesty Can you ask them to produce an annotated script with detailed sources (with dates) for each of the stats? That would be great!

  • @SunnyD2004 OH really simply zesty .... So you got these so called facts from the people who just invested in you. Thats interesting

  • get rid of that fucking subscribe button it ruins the whole thing

  • @magicalgoats follower ploy

  • Great music. A remix of Supertramp, but who by?

  • A new era =)

  • Incomming business for Zesty. Way to get picked up by Mashable. Grats

  • Some sources would be nice!

  • Some very good well preented stats here, but... 3 out of 3 UK Adults COULD actually live without the internet, they would just prefer to have it.

"33% of people trust online banners". I’m really not sure I agree with this statement, they may click on banner ads for convenience but ‘trust’ is a very a very strong statement of approval. They may trust the Brand rather than the Banner.

  • Cool vid, but where are these stats coming from?

  • fact is that 97.4% of all statistics are made up anyway!

  • @mikesperrey I think you'll find it's actually 97.6%...........

  • @TheBryanJago And I'm in Camp 'David(Commbs2008)', source for the stats is a requirement or else how do we know they aren't part of the 97.756% of stats that are made up?

  • It's nice to see a UK focussed piece but the facts are lacking source data. You must quote your sources when throwing stats around for this get maximum effect.
