A great stuff for Social Media and internet usage! Thanks for the statistics and its nice to know that all the information in the video was researched by the Oxford Research Agency in the UK, this means that this is a reliable video! This is Great!
Yes, good to come across an up to date (based on Facebook hitting the global 500m mark) video of UK-specific social media stats. But you and TORA really do need to add sources for all of these. If they've done the research that this is based on that shouldn't be too hard.
Add them here, or as a link, or as an overlay on the video. I'd love to quote some of these stats but I can't until you can substantiate them with references.
There's a thirst for current UK social media stats and this nicely made piece could go a long way to helping. So please, do get your TORA friends to add a clickable, checkable list of reference sources to the video as it's too easy to be cynical when they are not there. At least that's what 75.4% of those that have viewed this think. :)
G8t video - stats all feel comfortable to me the only one that doesn't resonate with me is a quarter of people writing a blog - but let's not split hairs - it is great to have a 'Socialnomics' style video for the UK - so thanks for making that happen. You guys and gals rock.
Just for everybody wondering who researched this is was done by the Oxford Research Agency in the UK who are a partner of ours. If anybody wants me to put you in touch with them email me or just Google them, they also go by the name of TORA and will help you with all your market research needs.
Some very good well preented stats here, but... 3 out of 3 UK Adults COULD actually live without the internet, they would just prefer to have it.
"33% of people trust online banners". I’m really not sure I agree with this statement, they may click on banner ads for convenience but ‘trust’ is a very a very strong statement of approval. They may trust the Brand rather than the Banner.
@TheBryanJago And I'm in Camp 'David(Commbs2008)', source for the stats is a requirement or else how do we know they aren't part of the 97.756% of stats that are made up?
It's nice to see a UK focussed piece but the facts are lacking source data. You must quote your sources when throwing stats around for this get maximum effect.
Are you going to folow up with a YouTube video with 2011 figures sometime soon?

It's good to see a video like this done form a UK point of view, not a US one.

@SimplyZesty Can you ask them to produce an annotated script with detailed sources (with dates) for each of the stats? That would be great!
