Hey ok so everything worked great thanks...but now i cant turn on my hp wireless assistant Touch button...so i cant get on the internet in ubuntu..Have any sugestions?
when i log in it installs but then it says."No root file system is defined please correct this from the partitioning menu"What does that mean it wont let me do anything it keeps popping up every time i exit out of it. PLEASE RESPOND ASAP!!
ok let me get a couple things straight. you can switch between your original os and ubuntu at will AND when u picked a drive to install it on, will i have that second drive when i partition my drive or should i install on my c: drive?
You could 'Install Inside Windows' on your C Drive. Or if you want to make a partition. Either way. But I like putting mine in a partition cause it makes it look sleek in Windows.
I'm using Windows 7 for the first part of the video. But I switched to Windows XP. Cause Windows 7's boot menu is different from Vista and XP. So Ubuntu doesn't work with Windows 7. That's why I switched to Windows XP. But ubuntu will work dual booted with Win7. When you have WinXP installed first (Or Vista). Than install Win7. Than I Installed Ubuntu on Windows 7. And it works fine. But it's a pain doing that. WinsXP and than Win7 (Sorta). Whatever you do, don't install winxp over win7.
I mean it showed xp first., then few seconds later It flashed Se7en and xp again. I saw 2 cursors at some point. What program do you use to record your comp?
I used Virtual Box. It runs your Virtual OS's (That you bought or downloaded) in a virtual box using virtual memory in your HD without restarting your PC all the time to switch through them. But You must have the specifications. 1GB Of RAM or UP. And when you use virtual box. You can't run the Special effects in Ubuntu or in Windows 7 . Depends on your RAM and Graphics card memory if it meets the requirements for running a virtual OS.
i got the bsod

Probably cause you got a automatic program you have or something .
Or Linux changed the ISO to a setup File .well... if it worked for you differently . Good for you =D

Confused!! ive got it running but how do you access you other os files???

Yeah about that.... lol you can't. But you can.
It's easy . Make a partitoin and make it 16024 GB's in Computer Management. And just install it inside windows in that partition .

I don't know... Linux is confusing.
Get 9.10 now. It's out . Way stable and better.
Download 9.10 and it should fix the problem. :D .
