This version was a free song on Amazon a couple of weeks ago, it's quite lovely and worth the download (even if it isn't free). I'm a Carly Simon fan from way back, and yes, her voice has changed but she still makes beautiful music.

Though Carly's not at her best here, I think there's a bit of an issue with the sound engineering and mixing because this seems like a straight feed from a live peformance. It probably needs to be cleaned up, tracks shifted, in a proper studio to give it a more polished finish. Even live concert DVD's are usually worked on before they go on sale to get rid of the roughness though its generally not publicized.

This is my favourate song and it is the most beautiful song I have every heard and the singer, that is Carly Simons, is the most beautiful women and singer in the world. Carly has my complete praise. I heard this song for the first time when I was 12 and I did not hear again until 15 years later, which was 2 years ago and during the last 2 years I have listened to it at least once a week.

I had the version from the film Working Girl here as a favourite but its not there anymore...well gutted. This song has real meaning for me.. used to sing it on the Staten Island Ferry with a friend that was killed on 9/11.

It took me a some time to find it. There are so many 'noise' videos of this song. I agree, this is awesome. I am not American, but this has touched me as a young and hopeful 9-year old when i heard it for the first time. 21 years later, I still get goosebumps when I listen to the words.
