Thanks for posting this ...I had just come home from a baby shower and had been checking the score throughout the game, the last update said 3-2 after the 3rd, so I assumed it was over and they had lost, not wanting to listen to the post game I turned the radio off, only to be told when I got home that we had tied it...I was too nervous to watch so i drove to walmart to pick up a prescription and heard this call while sitting in the drive thru...I couldn't get home fast enough to celebrate!
I remember this game like it was yesterday. Sitting in my seat in the nosebleeds right behind Rinne, and seeing Kaner tie the game, the place went nuts, but it was nothing compared to when Hossa won the game. The roof blew off it was that loud. It carried over into the streets too. On the way home, everybody had their windows down and screaming out their windows and celebrating with fans next to them in their cars. Best playoff moment ever.
@Gdayguy36 I was so upset that I missed this game--it was one of a very few playoff games that I missed. My only consolation is that I got to listen to the miracle comeback against the Flames early in the season.
Hey, all Chicago sports fans listen up. I love every thing that has to do with professional in Chicago. I'm trying to gather the most Chi-Town sports fans on YouTube. Check out my channel! I usually post the biggest events in Chicago sports. And since right now it's the football season I'll be posting more Bears stuff up. Feel free to add me as a friend. I am a Cubs fan but I do put stuff up about the sox. GO CHICAGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Who's the single jackass that doesn't like this video? Regardless if you're a Hawks fan or not, this was one of the greatest sports games I have ever seen...plus the sheer excitement I feel listening to this gets me teary-eyed...amazing...
First of all Julian it was the first round of the playoffs. Would not have changed the outcome of the finals because Philly and Chicago were in the finals not Nashville you dope. Think before you speak.
@lawabider41 You think, jackass. What he is saying is the Hawks could of been one game from elimination, going back to Nashville for a game six. Asshole...
@lawabider41 Uh dude he was saying that hawks could have been eliminated first round, thus changing the outcome of the finals since the hawks wouldn't be there.
i was listening to this on the radio, this is the best thing to ever happen to the city, i've seen mj, saw and knew the sox would destroy in 05 and now this? fucking incredible. now get on yo shit Bears!
@mhockey33 kane's goal was THE moment of the playoff run, had we lost that game who knows, we may not have gotten out of first round and June 9 would not have been the night the Hawks brought an end to 49 years of frustration
I'll bet come Wedensday night, if the Hawks are ahead and seconds away from winning the Cup., when this series comes to a mercifully peceful end, John Wiedeman, Troy Murray and Pat Foley will both be screaming in unison:
On the losing end of this, this is still pretty great. A game I will never forget. This was a dagger straight to the chest.

Probably one of the greatest games in NHL history. A Hollywood scriptwriter would never have been able to make it better.

@ILoveYouMaryJ Well the Bears DID give
us 1985..I was only 15 but everyone knew
we were the best to walk the earth that
year. Miami got us good though :-) Bears
wanted to sack Marino and he knew it and
THEY knew it. That defense was why we
have words like FEAR and AWESOME.
Pittsburg had that too! Rest in Peace Walter
we LOVE you :-) Wish you were here for
the Hawks and the White Sox!!!

@ChristopherSaindon Hell yea man I wasn't around yet but man the magic of the Bears 85 D, there wasn't anything like it!
