Perhaps this movie got somehow overshadowed by Rain Man because it starred two big names and had a similar theme? Too bad: as much as I love Dustin Hoffman, I always thought this was a far better movie and ridiculously underrated.Same goes for Liotta and Hulce: two incredibly talented actors who deserve much more credit than they are getting.

Okay Tom Hulce is really great in this movie yes. But when I watch it, it's for Ray. He's so adooooooorable in this. He usually plays a bad dude, but here I just want to squeeze the stuffing out of him. I love the scene where Jamie Lee kisses him.

Thanks for posting. I read once that Tom Hulce said, out of all the film acting he'd done, this was the project of which he felt most proud. It is a really underrated movie, but so good!
