As of now I don't know of any additional sites, what I may suggest is that go ahead & already experiment with other web sites maybe say build a script to log into yahoo and play around, else if you are already in software testing and already do code diving in existing scripts, else @ least try and record the macro of what's expected for GUI testing and then from there fine tune it. Hope that helps. The built in tutorial is pretty comprehensive they teach you how to modularize pieces etc.
I really hate how companies expect you to magically just KNOW some random piece of software. If they only gave me 5 minutes with it along with maybe a little instruction I could be up to speed... but unfortunately its because of this proprietary nonsense I have to struggle for jobs.
Hey so sorry to hear that... eh let me know if I can be of any help. what I might suggest is to go thru the QTP built in tutorial as it exposes you to almost all of it's capabilities. But yeah I do feel your pain and mostly it's learning as fast as you can while on the job. I know there's a lot more complex and cool stuff that you can do in QTP. Hang in there!
Thanks a lot for understanding. When I started testing I used a tool called testlog and the automation was done using AutoIT and we integrated into a DTM environment. Thanks also for the tip!
Hi i am new to the field of testing, and trying to learn QTP software. i downloaded a trial version from HP site, do you or you guys know any site, which can show me how to use that software beside the tutorial that comes with the software itself? i would really appreciate it, or if u guys know any links which are helpful it would be appreciated.
@leonheart00 Well it's true, they do seem to expect you to magically have experience with a piece of software that most people have never heard of. Not only that but they then have the gall to complain that they can't find enough qualified candidates for a particular job. All they'd have to do is say, "ah I see you are an experienced programmer, I'm sure you will be able to learn this in no time."
Hey thanks for the comment. Oh nah nothing much for this video because it's just a demo of the last tutorial and it moves too fast for it to say anything. What I can say is that basically it's modularized, one for log in one for log out and then go ahead and order 2 separate flights.

If there is voice in vedio. The vedio would have been great.
