@need2speed94 With petrol engines motor speed is varied by controlling the air entering the engine via an intake throttle body. With Diesel engines engine speed is varied by controlling the amount of diesel pumped into the cylinders. So to accelerate a Diesel engine you have to pump in extra diesel and make it run rich, hence the black smoke. The greater the load, the more extra diesel is required, and the more black smoke it will produce.

@vachamps and if it where unburnt fuel it would be coming out of the exhaust pipe as a liquid. burning somethink turns it to a gas. smoke can be called a gay with fine soot particles that are left from it burning of.. gas engines have soot. put ur fingur in the exhuast pipe and u got a black fingur.. diesel is heavier not as refined at gasoline. and is technicly an oil. more fresh air will bring more oxogan witch will help it burn cleaner....

(more air) but really no power loss in a diesel. as a diesel is WIDE OPEN all the time. the throttle is regulated on how much fuel the computer injects into the motor. it dumps lots of fuel in to the the motor to rev up. then the turbos spool up and put more air to the mixture. even if u just added more fuel and less air you get an increase in power, a PDA does this.

Porting and polishing the head to run the Edge Juice and your so called 120hp injectors. I had the baffles in the muffler when video was taken. Got the baffles out now and have the smarty with tnt-r. You need a calculator for those numbers. The truck is fast enough that if I am behind a Stock mustang and we both hammer it down I have to get out of the throttle. Well let me just tell you ole skeptical one! Bd twin turbos,performance cam,port and polished head, ats three piece exhaust manifold port and polished, 120 h.p. injector nozzles, edge 160 h.p. chip, fass 150, cfm+ intake manifold, afe intake,5 inch dual mbrp exhaust. I think thats about it. The only thing holding the truck back is the pos edge chip and not enough fuel. If I had a smarty and a duel cp3 set up it would be closer to 750h.p. It may have looked slow, but it gets down pretty well.
thank you, 13000 in the motor and 3500 in driveline and 10k in accesories. Doesn't get driven much, but I haven't been passed yet. I need a new chip and a duel cp3 set up and I'll be bustin over 700 on the dyno.
Yeah, the video wasn't the greatest, need to get in the higher gears to really show how it pulls. I need a little more fuel to feed the twin turbos, but that will come in time. 13,500 in the aftermarkets for the motor alone. Believe me it aint slow.

Thats defiantly more than 400. Stock is 300 on an 06, and you can tell that has more than the tuner and exhaust.

Dude I hear you if you don't like big lifts and i'm fine with that. I got a small lift in my truck. But guys like us sometimes take pride in their trucks and like to lift them. Its not to show you have a big package its just simple pride and joy in our trucks that makes us to that. I know a guy on cumminsforum with a 14 inch lift and the thing looks nasty. Nothing I would want but why can't you just say a nice comment instead of starting this stuff.

Hey!! Let's take a stock cummings diesel and a stock gas motor in a truck and see who is faster!!!! The only reason you think your diesel is fast is your turbo!! A gas motor does not have to have a turbo to be fast!!! But a diesels does!!!!!!!! Lol!!!!

the turbo isnt meant for going fast. its meant for better hauling. Thats why they're in just about every diesel motor out there. Busses Semis tractors etc. It doesnt matter why it goes fast all that matters is it does. Complaining about the turbo is just a retarded way of saying you have a slow truck that cant pull jack shit.

Ill say that a while ago diesels definately were not fast at all. But todays diesels can make over 400 hp with a few bolt on parts. Now they're still slow but compare the weight of a f-250 to a McLaren and there is a huge difference. I dont know if you have takin a ride in a modern turbo diesel with a little modding but the CAN get it. And still pull the fuck out of the toy hauler.

apparently you don't understand the diesel world and the performance that can be had with one. So my dodge is faster then a Porsche 911 becuase i dumped 100k into it. No, its faster becuase i dumped 10k into it. AND i get better mileage, AND i can tow that 25k pound trailer, AND i can put shit in my bed AND carry my buddies in the truck.

Well let me just tell you ole skeptical one! Bd twin turbos,performance cam,port and polished head, ats three piece exhaust manifold port and polished, 120 h.p. injector nozzles, edge 160 h.p. chip, fass 150, cfm+ intake manifold, afe intake,5 inch dual mbrp exhaust. I think thats about it. The only thing holding the truck back is the pos edge chip and not enough fuel. If I had a smarty and a duel cp3 set up it would be closer to 750h.p. It may have looked slow, but it gets down pretty well.

Yeah, the video wasn't the greatest, need to get in the higher gears to really show how it pulls. I need a little more fuel to feed the twin turbos, but that will come in time. 13,500 in the aftermarkets for the motor alone. Believe me it aint slow.
