I dont see the why people always point out they are self taught. Its pointless bragging and gains you nothing. At 4 months i didnt play like this but everything i LEARNED From a teacher has developed me into a good player.

@fatnate28 Well i pointed it out because its true? I've played the piano for 6 years and i am currently working on Rachmaninoff's prelude in C# minor. So i pretty much just think of the fretboard as a keyboard so and thats how i figured a lot out on the guitar. I bet your teacher is has told you how the notes and scales work on the guitar. So if i know where they are by thinking of it my way and you know it your way we are still finishing the same, so does it matter how we get there? Not really

@evhfan1994 You never pointed out you played piano that makes it different than from some kid who just picked up a guitar no music experience. Once you learn piano you can apply it on any instrument so it doesn't surprise me you played like this after four months.

@evhfan1994 Yeah you don't normally want to start out with a very crappy amp, otherwise it might dis-encourage you.... Well I have been playing for 6 months on the electric and a year on the classical, so I guess I should completely try this one out. :p I also saved for my guitar gear. ^^

i got a question.. how to u keep guitar in tune after using the wammy bar

@strukter1 i put some vegeable oil in the nut and loosened the springs in the back so the bridge isnt flush with the body so the bar doesnt go down so much it doesnt throw the guitar right outta tune.

@strukter1 make sure your strings are stretched out good, keep the bridge level to the body for maximum dive bombing and you should be good. the main thing is stretching out your strings a lot when they are new and you should be fine, don't loosen the springs so the bridge tips forward, thats not how it should be set up. Just touch the string with your thumb slightly after picking it. Ididnt get those harmonics for years but it was because of my cheap lousy guitar.

the settings im using are a little different from what ive told other people. I got the drive at 10 bass 10 treble 10 and at mid 4 -6 , there is a little bit of delay and reverb is almost alway the way up. and metal on green

i used metal on green with the drive all the way up and with the mid at like 4 and bass at 9 and treble at 6 or 7 with a good amount of reverb
