  • i had muniscus repair a few months ago, that was 1 and a half hours, and still waiting on my ACL repair in a few week! and im only 13:O wihs me luck?!

  • suuuuper ;D

  • im going in for surgery in about a week and im a nervous wreck does anyone now how long it takes to come back to sports i play hockey

  • maybe a good few months.

    depends.

  • Your doc should have already outlined your milestones with you. Most of your timeline will depend on you and how well you do what you are told to and don't do what you are not permitted to. I know a girl who was back on skiis in 4 months!

    ACLCENTRALdotCOM

  • had mine 2 days ago

    LOL

    god dtat loook so painful...

  • my daughter had her surgery which lasted only for 30 mins. but she was in the recovery room for more than 4 hrs

  • i am getting this and after watching this i am really scared what do i need to know

  • Nothing to be scared of. It is not the end of the world. Make sure your doctor does more than 10 a year. Do your PT after. I am 4 weeks post-op now and I think the first night/day is the most important. Come talk about it with us at ACLCENTRALdotCOM

  • This guy is a butcher - obviously he should have gone posterior through the rectum for a cleaner anchor hold.

  • LOL!

  • im 3 weeks post op on my hamstring graft reconstruction and get some shooting pains through the knee, anyone else get this as well?

  • Yeah, I had that with both knees (I've torn both ACL's). Esp when I lift it to the floor when I get out of bed. It's normal, but it depends on when you get it and what you are doing. BUt I am pretty sure that's normal.

  • i had the same op 5 days ago

had my post op with my surgeon today and spoke about the same pains he said its very common and is due to sometimes there is a small bleed that causes this, mine feels like its going through my knee and travels half way down my shin

  • where do u u live and how much was it ?

  • im in nz

we have acc here and if your injured from an accident its all free the government pays for surgerys and physio ect

  • i just had this done to my leg three months ago im really glad i didnt watch this before hand i would have freaked out

  • does it leave big scars?

  • i have done the same thankgod im only14 and had my ct skan done and do not have to have the surger=]

  • tore mine in 09 with a knee dislocation, had the surgery one month later after swelling went down. was on crutches for a month and a half. still cant feel the side of my knee where they pulled the new one down with. it squeeks when i put on my socks and shoes.

  • I had mine done a month ago, I had a full thickness ACL tear and lots of meniscus damage playing football sept09. There was no pain when it happened, just 2 cracks, swelling the following day and unstable. I got an ACL brace a month later, and started physio to strengthen the quad and hamstring. I had no pain after surgery, and was walking in a week, I have full range of motion now. The key to it all is a good surgeon/physio/patience. Start walking as soon as you can, and start physio quickly.

  • i had mine recon done like this end of o5 , , my knee had seemed pretty stable till last friday , had a blow out suddenly adjusting my feet plaing in goal at footy ... hitting that nasty sweet spot "pivot shift" , it obvioulst could not take the starin starin ....BANG

  • I was out of the hospital that day of the reconstruction surgery, but I was in bed for weeks. It hurt like hell afterward, I assume due to the bone drilling so be ready to be in pain for awhile.

If you are young and in shape you will probably rehab fully in 4-6 months, mine was much longer though.

  • oomgg haha when he moved the leg at the start i thought the person themselfts moved it :\

anyways, i can't wait untill i have my surgery and get it OVER with. but i have to wait till the summer :( its been 1 year now with my ACL torn with badly meniscus, and i miss soccer <3 i can't have it now because i have to wait for my growth plates (N)

  • What does it feel when you tear your meniscus and acl is it extreme pain or slightly? cuz i dont know if i tore mine doing squats.

  • hurts real bad, i swear. getting my op on tue.

  • I just found out today that I have a Torn meni and will have surgery next month. It's my left knee and I have no side to side movement but can still run a little but no heavy leg workouts at all.

  • by side to side movement what do you mean? and does it hurt allot i dont know if i have a torn menis i even squated 225 3 days ago. Did you have pain when you tore yours? and i heard for a torn meniscus you dont need surgery you need to rest for 2 weeks and it will heal by itself also icing it. why you having surgery if its only torn? doctors sometimes mess up and want the money specially with the economy being how it is right now. If i was you i would get a second hand opinion.

  • sleep with a pillow under it and ice it for 20 min intervals and see if it feels better the next day. thats what i did and its feeling better. But i dont know if i tore mine it could be Osgood-schlatters disease what i have.

    Pozdrawiam

  • i tore my acl and a little bit on the outside of my mcl. i play football. what are my chances of it happening again if i play next year in aug.

  • I feel ur pain. I play rugby Ive had 2 ACL reconstructions I learnt the rehab is the turning point or the crucial part of the whole process Good luck!

  • i get my acl reconstruction soon, dnt know wat to expect thu ay, how long u stay in HOSP 4.....miss soccer lyk crazy ay..dien here lol...how long did ur rehab take??

  • my rehab is 9 months but it goes verry fast and dont rush into it take your time

    hope it goes well

  • honestly not extremly high you know what happenened already and usually your body attempts to prevent it. It can happen if you land on it wrong but I doubt you'll do it again

  • dear yarok. You should try it with a new biological method from Dr. Felmet. It is self adjusting. The implant (no screw or button etc.) is adjusting itself due to the natural load of the knee. In Warsaw Spital Szaserow is doing it or the hospital in Brzeg Dolny!

  • Hi

I was there in Warsaw at that hospital, but didnt help me.. I have now really big problems with my knees..

  • Bardzo stary nie biologiczne metoda. Sruby: To bylo wczoraj! Bez obcych materialow to revelacja 2008!

  • wow nice video, check out my knee on my profile, under 90-day challenge...

  • you guys should do it in New Zealand there is 5 guys in my soccer team including me that did this operation and we are all fine and back playing soccer after six months.

  • the things they do to u wen ur sleep

  • Than I had 2nd, they took graft from my second knee which was OK. After 2 years I broke ACL in my second knee - here u can see video of this surgery. It was made by best polish MD, he was showing other doctors how to make sugery with this procedure.

Unfortunately my knee isn't still stable.. Now i have problem with 2 kness and I'm a handicap..

  • It was my 3rd ACL reconstruction. In 2001 I had first made with old procedure (Hertel).. They opened all knee and put inside graft. They didn't have to use arthroscope. After that I had all leg in plaster cast for 3 months.. I couldn't walk normally for almost 2 years. I had 5 or 6 arthroscopies to fix damages made with that first.. of course they removed that ACL becasue it was wrong inserted.

  • There is no incision on the femur side! The doctors look and sound nervous! OMG! I feel lucky to have got it done here in the US!

  • omg wtf are they doin this is not normal come to sweden and do it omg

  • jestem własnie tydzień po.

równierz miałem przeszczep autogenny ze ściegien zginacza.

    'MisczNiebios'

  • i dont know what you guys are saying but im sure you think this is some crazy shit
