@70ryand Hints: Use an invisible object (When you swing, you shoot an invisible plane or cube.. or anything really) and make it have a limited range before it dissapears (The range of your sword).. Then check for a collision with said invisible object on the 'defender'.

I've got the same problems. Tutorials are rare for 3dgs and the program is very complicated.

I think 3dgs does fbx format quiet well so you can import that to 3dgs with no problem.

You need MDL files for A7 models. You can import FBX, X and 3DS files in the model editor. My problem is that when i try to import X files the model editor crashes everytime... importing 3DS worked flawlessly for me but i don't know what FBX files are.

I had to make those scripts from scratch and spent a long time with alot of frustrations learning how to by myself. I'd start with something like Torque Game Builder, downloading the free trial and following those tutorials, or Unity 3D.

It isn't difficult for me to code it, just incredibly time consuming, it is easy once you have spent enough time learning, which could be months or years. Google 3D Game Studio you can find information about it there.

Yes I am using a bow/arrow system for the player. I used blender, Gile[s] and 3D game studio. Yes it would be possible but incredibly difficult and time consuming to achieve.

Impressive, it looks like 3DGS can be used to make some top quality games. I'm also trying to get into game design and i've looked at 3DGS before but i thought learning c/c++ might be more beneficial. Did you start by exclusively developing games with 3DGS or did you try to learn any other programming languages before lite-c?
