My favorite non fiction author Chris Hedges would wholeheartedly agree with each of the precepts announced in this soliloquy. Simply, Hedges' words would be different and stated in an essay, rather than a film scene. Outstanding would be the idea that in an indifferent universe humans have the ability to create happiness through our choice to love. And the idea that the small, mundane moral choices are monumental in their sum.
I'll never forget this ending. Truly going for the underbelly of human nature.
