  • the result of all this protest worldwide will be harder laws and more restrictions of internet.. since more than thousand years there are some rich people who make the rest to slaves.. hope u can understand what i want to say, my english sucks but its sounds cool :)

  • This doesn't even really do it justice. There is an amazing sense of solidarity and hopefulness at these occupations that you have to witness to fully appreciate. We are the 99%!

  • Actually it's Washington D.C.'s fault they should occupy that

  • The clowns in Washington know that the majority of the people don't buy their shit! The mainstream media portrays the Tea Party as some monumental moving force in the Republican Party. This may be true, and they are being used by the right wing with money supplied by the Koch Bros. However, they DO NOT represent the majority of Americans, and though they may try to get a Republican elected, it is all a smokescreen by the mainstream media to create the illusion that we have a choice! BULLSHIT

  • Thank YOU OWS! F*** the haters! You're out there doing it, even if you're getting arrested you don't back down, you just get up and come back. The whole thing has been an inspiration.

  • @TheMistaSteve I'm thinking of making a nice camp for you people. You can stay and protest there as much as you want. It will feature a fence topped with razor wire around the perimeter, watch towers, and guards at the gates. The best part is that various police agencies would be happy to facilitate and drive everyone there on buses. Finally, the rich earned their right to be rich. The wealthy have their place in the economy without them we're fucked.

  • @CaptainBill22 congrats on failing to get anything. It's not anti-rich, it's anti corruption/cheating by the people who wrecked the economy. No shit, people who build great companies that contribute services and goods to society (as opposed to bullshit 'collateralized debt obligations') legitimately deserve their success and as a result there are many jobs for people as a result. OK, go back to jerking off about your concentration camp fantasy now.

  • A revolution can only be accomplished by means of violence, not peace. If you doubt this then prove me wrong. This is my opinion, and therefore, I don't think any revolutions will take place in this socierty. Especially in this society where everything is reinforced on top of one another to produce counter-revolution, and it goes deeper and deeper as if the root of the problem is invisible. Although I support this movement, I don't think they'll do enough damage to achieve a revolution.

  • @lej047 necessarily, every major revolution of the past five hundred years was started by THE ELITES. doubt?

  • @greenbeanery2 You need to understand that ANY revolution will go against the interests of elite power. It would be highly illogical and foolish if a revolution was started by the elites unless it benefitted them, which is not likely. The people start revolutions, not the people in power. Google "list of revolutions" and you'll see that it's the people who start revolutions, and you'll see that the violent ones are the most successful ones. Hope this helps.

  • @lej047 You forget that sometimes, elites fight each other. See, Bolsheviks vs Tsar Nicholas I & II.

  • @lej047 further, the CIA/Banks have supported many so-called color revolutions. And if the elites don't always start revolutions, they ALWAYS respond to and direct them. also see "tea party + koch industries" for more "people-power revolution" info.

Some portion of "the people" always participates, but not in ways you and I might believe.

  • @lej047 one word: Gandhi

  • @lej047

A revolution is more speedy when it is violent. but at what cost?

Please do not forget Mohandas Gandhi though.

    "We are soldiers of peace."

  • @lej047 If everyone stop to buy and get out to the streets, if EVERYONE, then yes we get this shit of non economy system over!

  • occupywallst org: "the only solution is WorldRevolution"

..."The Marxist concept of overthrowing capitalism in all countries through the conscious revolutionary action of the organized working class. Where local conditions allowed a revolutionary party to successfully replace bourgeois ownership and rule, and install a workers' state based on 'social' ownership of the means of production."

Communism has resulted in death for many millions of Christian victims; google "Mullins Secret Holocaust"

  • @sbdwch Any system of government will result in millions of deaths.

  • Why in the hell does a video need to pass any kind of consensus? With all this consensus-taking, no wonder the movement is getting so little accomplished - and I agree with most of what it represents.

  • @digitalsoapbox There's so much you are missing....

  • No need to Thank us, but Thanx to all these heroes in this movement for their ass busting work and hour's of devotion. This is what healthy democracy is all about! Thanx especially for sharing the video! Sincerly Thomas.H.Pickering

Poltically Depressed the Ranch Chimp Journal

  • this people (the protesters) will save US & the rest of the world.

  • very nice video!!!! Greetings from Lithuania :)

  • Hello hippies :)

  • @squashy22 The hippies brought us change in this country in the 1960's and they will do it again....we are all hippies....99%

  • oohh look at me im a hipster...social networking..... lets keep the world united and change the government......please stop you can try as hard as you want but it's about what the rest of the world thinks and quite frankly nobody cares anymore.

  • @funkynuggets56 lol you're a moron

  • @wutangebooks someone's a little butthurt

  • @funkynuggets56 nah i just think it's hilarious that you're missing the entire point of occupy

  • @funkynuggets56 shit with that attitude ur more useless than those "hipsters". those hipsters who care enough about our country to try and stop the corruption and theft. but u know, if ur cool with people getting billions of $ by basically stealing from people with nothing, u deserve to live in a system like that. u love ur kings dont u? the system did u right didnt it? i wish i could be saying this to u in person so i could look into ur lifeless, soulless eyes.

  • @RaabBlog someone's a little butthurt

  • Awesome video! Keep up the good work guys!

  • The whole system has to be destroyed.

  • @theworldsoils Well, I kinda get where they're coming from, but I believe that this isn't the way to go about recovering their "stolen" wealth. My father always taught me you have to work for what you want and he worked his way from dirt poor to upper middle class. I mean hustling doesn't make you evil if you did it legally. And I doubt its too late for America. In fact our city is still rapidly growing and I see no evidence of a "depression" or "corporate greed". Guess I'm lucky.

  • The left is on the march. Right wing nutjobs should be concerned..

  • I've been shoplifting daily from Walmart to do my part to stick it to those corporate criminals. I try to steal at least 50 bucks per week in small items. It's my way to try to prove a point. The corporations don't care if you protest for the rest of your lives, you have to bring the fight to them to make a difference. Keep it peaceful, but let them feel the effects of the revolution.

  • @jcrowley1985 A thief is a thief $50 or $5 million you are just as bad or not worse than the people you protest I hope you have no kids to past on your stupidity on to .

  • @ekjohndeer Except Walmart steals huge government subsidies all the time for it's "helping the community". When in reality they ship jobs overseas, destroy any chance for small business, and do the exact opposite of what they are susposed to be doing with those government subsidies. I am just taking back a very small amount of what was stolen in the first place.

I don't even think of it as stealing anymore, it's just my way to try to prove a point.

  • @jcrowley1985 Thats what your problem is YOU DON"T THINK, THIEF

  • @ekjohndeer So you have a problem with thieves? I just proved it there, you should be supporting the occupiers who are in protest of corporate thieves on a much bigger scale then petty shoplifters.

You don't have to support me, but if you oppose my shoplifting then you have to oppose what the corporations are doing which is the same thing just magnified hundreds of times.

  • @jcrowley1985 Again you have no voice because your a THIEF and are making the other occupiers look bad because your a THIEF. Didn't anyone tell you when you take something that its not yours it's call STEALING . Please don't try to justify one bad action with another

  • @ekjohndeer So you'll never be happy with whatever the protestors do. If they just sit there doing nothing, then they are just leechers or wastes of space. If they do take action, they are no better then what they are protesting.

You just plain don't like these protests, no matter what they do you want them silenced. At least I was taking action and remaining non violent.

  • @jcrowley1985 No I'm not happy with Thiefs like you, the protestors are fine ,but your not a protesor your a Thief.

  • @ekjohndeer You're entitled to your opinion. But I am merely settling the score. Corporations stole just as much if not far more. It's just my way of protesting. Think what you will.

  • @jcrowley1985 It's not a opinon , and the 99% of us know that your a Thief, Your not protesting your stealing. If you don't get that then you are going to have a hard life.

  • We Love you ALL OCCUPIERS! Some of us cannot be there with you and we occupy in the ways that we can, by taking the IDEA of Occupy with me everywhere I go...with signs on my car,by having conversations with people who would say Occupiers just need to go get a job.I waited for this movement to come along,THANK YOU ALL that can be HIGHLY engaged & HIGHLY aware of the Corporate greed that has given us this great opportunity to come together.Let MY LOVE for you,be a shield that protects you!!

  • What does occupy even do it seems like they just camp out, protest nothing, and disrupt business. I'm not trying to be ignorant and I'm only 14, but at least to me it seems like they have no goals and get nothing done. Someone explain please.

  • Besides camping and yelling at local cops, what the fuck does Occupy do??? Nothing! They're all about tantrums and nothing political.

  • Thank you OWS to show us that it is possible to be human again.... Much love from Canada!!

  • in the 1960's the Hippies preached about one world peace and FREE LOVE, but on Maui, those hippies now are huge LAND BARONS, so much for free love!

  • how does ows feel about John Corzine?

  • i support Occupy Tucson with 10% of my 2 products, one you can even use on site: WE CAN MAKE CHANGE HAPPEN!

  • beautiful! my support for Occupy Tucson!

  • I was arrested on the brooklyn bridge just before this took off globally. It was amazing to see, after hundreds of us were arrested, thousands rise up in solidarity! I knew it wasn't in vain. The best idea I see going forward is re-occupying foreclosed homes with needy families. I see it leading to mass civil-disobedience against banks and the financial sector, which is our best hope.

  • Is this calculation correct The United States has spent on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, more than 200 million million $ Does this mean that if the distribution of million $ of all the poor people in America will be there are 200 million millionaires But unfortunately these millions went into the treasury of the billionaires of the owners of factories of arms and war missions in order to increase riches and poverty of the poor increases Is this intelligent

  • these new age hippies ,will do nothing except get high ,talk shit ,get arrested ,then go back to there lives ,and get a "job" ,and a family ,DICKHEADS :(

  • 12 dislikes they are just happy slaves of corporations!!

  • @Mr1helluvabutlr knobhead ,if only it was that simple :(

  • Happy Holidays OWS'ers. Keep it peaceful, stay safe, and stay strong. God bless.

  • I've never seen such a large group of whiny media whores who are ultimately looking for handouts. Makes me sad....

  • @almonpoole You're so sadly misinformed my friend. I have never seen such an apathetic sentiment from people as I do from the opposition. You're just repeating the medias rhetoric, so who is the media whore here?

  • @gsxrk6charlie It's pretty obvious who the whores are, just watch theother99 for about fives minutes. Scum can't hide from video!!!

  • American Media does not report on the occupy movement anymore, hit the air waves!

  • I love these people, and will continue to support them as long as it takes. I cannot be with them, but I am in my heart, and right here watching this happen. God Bless all the OWS everywhere they are protesting. Thank you M. for sending it to me here in Lansdowne, PA.

    I am a 99%.

  • Carry on <3

  • occupy everything! #decolonize

  • I just get the biggest kick out of seeing all of the Apple, The North Face and other "big evil corporation" products in these videos that use cheap Asian labor and charge way too much. Isn't that what you hipsters are whining about????

  • @ItsJustCraig FACEPALM!

  • @ItsJustCraig actually this is not what it is about - it is about having more of a say within the creative world process of living on this earth - of not being tricked by subprime mortgages, credit swaps etc etc - in fact apple and north face are also confronted about their "sweat" shops etc -

  • This is such a joke!!!

  • God bless US, the 99%!! I am PROUD to be part of this group!! HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!

  • @Thaifunn1 ah so you're one of those people who ignores facts. Like poverty, homelessness, and people dying of sickness, all across America.

  • look for the tent in which a rape is ocurring in @0:12

  • You're Welcome.

  • To Occupiers everywhere: Thank you for your hard work, persistence, and sacrifice. Been trying to embed the Doobie Bros' Taking it to the Street for you here but am completely stymied. Rock on!

  • It's sad, that people in the USA, with an apple laptop demonstrate...

USA is the top 1 percent or the world. Everybody has enough food, shelter and personal freedom.

  • @Thaifunn1 Wait a minute. So in your opinion a person has to be totally naked to demonstrate... WOW. Don't you realise that corporations make us dependent on their items?

In what dimension do you exist? Enough food, shelter, personal freedom?! I lol'd so much. You are as good as media propaganda...

  • This cannot be stopped This is an IDEA whose time has come. We, the people! United! We were the Woodstock Nation at our origin. Now we occupy. Tomorrow we emerge from our cacoon and soar on wings, vanish and reappear. A Butter/cream/fly Revolution

  • Thank you to Occupier all over our Planet, you are the heroes of the world & I'm sure you will be duly noted in the History books.

  • thank you guys! you are doing awesome.

united in love and peace and true intelligence

    abrazos desde madrid

  • FROM OCCUPY RENO, LOVE AND SUPPORT FROM OUT WEST. AMERICA'S SPRING!

  • ‎"The top 1 percent of householders' after-tax income increased by 256% between 1979 and 2006. Looked at another way, between 2002 and 2007, the income of the bottom 99 percent increased by 1.3 percent per year while that of the top 1 percent rose by 65 percent. Perhaps the most outrageous pattern, however, occurred during the recession. While most Americans' income fell by nearly 7 percent a year between 2007 and 2008, that of the top 1 percent grew by 47 percent." Axinn and Stern, 2011

  • @fishmannathan wow, that is really pretty accurate, i find that actuall sourcing shows that incomes were down and the recession fiscally started in 05, but not contradicting because official reports do say 07. yet also say 09 was the end.decline of income has been in steady decline this entire time averaging 4% per year since 07, 2% 05 causing median average to drop from16,800 to below 15,000 for single person, or poverty index, which includes 48% of the population

  • Is there a longer video of the priest talking to the police officers? If so, where can I see it?

  • "The cause of the police that doesn't get paid enough"

    ......riiiighhtttt

Here's an idea. Less proselytizing to the police, as if they're ever going to choose not arresting you over feeding their family, and more fighting back when they do try to ruin your life for a paycheck.

  • @theboss2000000 LOL... You actually think you're one of the 1%??? That's funny..

  • This movement is perfect. It's the right time in history. It's interesting how afraid people are of change. You can tell by the hateful remarks people make, which are so unnecessary. It's just their fear talking and it's extremely sad. And as it relates to this video and this movement, I wonder why they bother to watch if they think the movement is so useless. Obviously too much kool aid is not a good thing!

  • We are unstoppable !!! Another world is possible !!!

  • just got done occupying the toilet and I am pissed cause only the 1% made it

  • What gets me is when a Right Winger says, "They shouldn't be disrupting business".

That's the whole POINT! To disrupt business as usual because the "usual" is a corrupt system. The rich want the cops to put the rabble in their place. The rich would like us to blame government.

Their whole absurd argument is that it's okay to lie and screw people over so long as no actual "crime on the books" was committed and we should blame government for letting them do it.

  • @SpitfireOFatj This is why your movement died you made it about left and right when they both be Focking you but the movement was too stupid to see that so it go bye bye.

  • Amazing video guys! Very true, a great year. Historical. Am honored to have been a part of this with you all. Redesign The World!

  • Just the begining ! Share the ressources of the world and end hunger and poverty for ever !

  • THIS IS GREAT. I'm glad that a filmmaker like yourself put this up to help others see, hear, feel and understand the movement. Cheers to you!

  • An honor to be in tuned with you and everyone else striving and working for the common good of mankind and life everywhere! Awesome video and depiction of what this idea has sprouted!

  • Great job David, as usual!

  • The peaceful movement of OWS will not last. There is fighting every time there is some sort of liberation or revolution, sadly it's how it is because kings and tyrants do not relinquish their power over other men, it has to be taken back. You can continue on fighting a battle with the oligarchy and the police or you can ask the police to step aside or fall while good men protect the evil deeds of bad men. It is their choice, all we must do is fight to restore a free society. Let anarchy ring!

  • Shouting down others, Making public parks unusable to the rest who pay for them, Theft, Drug use, Vandalism, property destruction, Child Abuse, Tuberculosis and disease outbreaks,Rape, death, Murder...and costing the rest of us over 22 million nationwide... yeah you've done more than enough.

  • @LadyLiberty1885 You must be mistaken, i believe you are talking about Lollapalooza :) Congrats OWS for starting the conversation towards taking back our country!

  • @twiggycerniglia Wish I were and it's hardly smiley worthy.

  • Your devotion resonates from pole to pole and is a never ending Christmas gift to 7 billion people.

I'm one of them and I thank you.

  • victoria ali al assassini !

  • for what it's worth, i would love to see you guys get an official youtube account and put as much (GA-approved) content up on it as possible. i think you need to meet some of the criticisms circulating about you in the media head-on. for example, it would be harder for people to label you as anti-semitic if they saw actual video of the yom kippur celebrations that took place at occupy wall street

  • as someone who has been paying a great deal of attention to the way the occupy movement is being portrayed in the media, i implore you guys to keep on telling your side of the story. just assume the media is going to make you look terrible, and don't underestimate the power it has on shaping public perception.

  • Don't credit yourself just yet.

  • 5:23 theres the guy from vanguard on the middle left. if you havent watched the vanguard episode on the occupy movement, you should. and share it with your relatives and friends who think youre a bunch of dirty, pot smoking, drum beating, street shitting hippies.

  • I see this video with 6000 views. Then, on the side, I see a video "FedEx Guy Throwing My Computer Monitor" with 5 million views.

The economic mindset of the people is to worship our physical possessions - our status symbols.

  • ...protesting against the economic net result of their own greed. today we march against ourselves... occupy your mind, people.

  • What's with the repeating everything one person says thing? Is that like a thing now?

  • @sonicoliver Yeah, it is a thang now! It is the People's Mike that enables everyone to hear what is being said. :-)

  • Yes. Thank you for attempting to take over a lot of land owned by a church that has supported you and your little fad of a movement.

    Fucking entitled brats.

  • I was arrested on N17. It was one of a hundred amazing events that I have been to. The more work I do with OWS, the bigger my heart grows and the more I feel that this is the moment. This is the only place I want to be and we will never be here again. Cherich each moment! Richard (AngryPacifist).

  • "Wall Street is the source of corruption in our society. Occupy Wall Street is the source of the correction." ~DB Wilburn

  • Nobody in my town supports OWS but me, but I've supported you guys 100% 24/7.

  • From Puerto Rico, thank you for being the catalysis for the search of change, equality and social change.

  • Never stop showing people that there is a better way of living.

  • keep up the movement, i am 20 and when my generation gets into power hopefully we will change things for the better... i highly doubt anyone would want to chane things for the worse, but the challenges that lie ahead are going to be big. we have some seriously big global problems and that requires global solutions. its good to see that there are people in the world that have a genuine interest in making the world a better place, it gives me hope for a better future.

  • Thank you OWS you are an inspiration to all. Merry Christmas and may all our dreams come true.

  • No Occupy thank you! You have given me hope in humanity ....at least for a while

  • 1st World Problems... *sigh*

  • The idea of Occupy "Wallstreet" is so ass backwords to me. They do not make the rules , they just swim in the fucking shark tanks and your mad at them for being sharks?? Seems like someone is misleading this ideal of corruption , because there fucking is so much! Your just being misdirected the wrong way. Who lets them get away with it, who makes the rules, wallstreet doesnt. So why protest them? Ehh someone stole the hype and pointed you guys the wrong way. Occupy the Fed/Washington, ah ha!

  • @WickedMo13 You seem to miss the point entirely. Who PAYS the feds/Washington to swing their votes a certain way? Wallstreet bigots.Who PAYS politicians off to give their ideals, and in turn get support from a bigwig on WALLSTREET? Read up on things before you start spewing. Solidarity from Michigan!

  • @whocaresaboutthis645 lol, you fault wallstreet for the corruption in Washington/Fed? Wow. Also you need to read up and research the Fed and find out how money is created in this country. It does not come from WallSt.

  • @WickedMo13 Seriously? Do you know anything? Judging by your grammar and typing skills, I'm lead to believe, initially, that you don't know much of what REALLY happens around here. Short of what comes on FOX news on your telly at night. YOU read up and research. I'm not wasting my time on someone who takes FOX as real news. Good day to you.

  • @whocaresaboutthis645 Iol, dont try and take some sort of intelligent/moral highground with me based off of internet spelling/abbreviations. First off, Im lazy, secondly you cant answer the question. Which is fine, bc u obviously dont know whats up. I get it. It feels good to be part of a group, just educate yourself better. Read up on the Fed son. I dont watch the news on tv btw. lol, are you trolling?

  • Well done! Keep focused, and we'll win.

  • Much love and respect to you from Oakland

  • Smart, intelligent people that have had it with corrupt corporations and govt and use their skills to promote change!

  • END THE FED

JAIL AND REHABILITATION TO THE BANKERS.

    END THE CORRUPT SYSTEM.

    BRING IN THE RESOURCE-BASED ECONOMY.

  • I didn't know andy samberg a NYC cop.

  • I didn't know Adam Sandberg was an NYC cop.

  • Very cool. Thank you all who are 'on the ground' supporting the 99% and 'in the trenches' of the parks and public spaces in which you stand, shouting as the voice for those who can't make themselves heard. Thank you.

  • Thank you from Greece. Keep struggling brothers and sisters.

  • boohoo 99% blah blah blah im poor

  • @autopilotsuccess I'm not poor, I still stand for change & I see you still stand for ignorance

  • Way to make me cry first thing in the morning. Love from Occupy Portland.

  • I only wish that an occupy movement could exist in my town without the risk of people getting shot. The general consensus is so far to the extreme right that people cannot be openly gay in this town without fearing for their lives. We stand in solidary in the shadows with those who can stand in the light. Keep fighting...Please keep fighting. You're the only hope we have left.

Thank you so much, OWS. Thank you SO much... =)

  • ww.youtube.com/user/MrPinkStrat#p/u/0/Ei0SPdNkgTk

  • Thank you! Love you back.

  • support from nwa arkansas

  • people are with you. we believe in you.

  • Beautiful :)

  • Thank you OWS. I love you <3

  • Support from Kentucky!

  • I think what their doing is about being progressive and working for sustainable, human solutions. A society built purely on logic, competition and Darwinism isn't going to be a nice place to live and may very well collapse like the fall of Rome. That awareness means there's something for everyone benefit in intelligent planning, awareness and caring actions.

  • We will overcome our fears and achieve full freedom. We must seek unity based upon our common needs and common dreams. Let us all seek a sincere solidarity! Support of OWS and Occupy Sacramento!

  • Now available for listening on our youtube page <3

  • Beginning of the Beginning- A song for the occupy protests- Inspired by occupy LOVE and the NYC 99% Bat signal- Watch and SHARE <3

  • thank you for everything! this movement is legendary - let's keep it going!

  • Thank you for all you've done . . . and all you will do. I am a nearly 65 year old leftist who spent an awful lot of time in the anti-Vietnam War and Peace & Justice movements. I have never given up hope for a better world and you have made me very happy and proud. Keep it up. It's been a long time coming and I'm hopeful I will see real, substantive change before I die. We ARE the 99%. Hasta la victoria siempre. Venceremos!

  • @richardladd Seeing change before you die? Hilarious!

Good luck with that idiot, never given up hope for a better world? But what did you do to contribute? Nothing I imagine, good job moron. You made no difference, and you continue to make no difference.

  • @MammalAnonymous Just out of curiosity. Are you stupid or merely ignorant. Clearly, you can't read. Oh, and you're also an asshole; a very good one at that.

  • thanks for the update --

  • Occupy London Ontario thanks you for sticking it out in immense pressure. We are with you.

  • Thank you for the wake up call. Peace, love, and support.

  • Thank you, thank you & THANK YOU.

    BLESSINGS!

  • thank you for validating, encouraging hopefulness that your actions have bought to many, be blessed and stay safe, the road is still bumpy...LOve & PEACE

  • thank you ows, for giving me & many others a renewed sense of hope. so many felt isolated in their frustration with a system that seemed to be failing so many & dividing so many. may this beginning continue to move forward as a positive force. i will always support ows, & gladly freeze my butt off on the bklyn bridge again & seriously continue to engage people in dialogue on the many important issues that ows brings to the people.
