  • Kudos to you for letting folk vote and comment.

  • " including the powerful Ruger Mini 14 used in the Montreal massacre" A common rally cry, yet illogical on two key points: 1) the Mini 14 is WEAK. My M14 battlerifle, the same gun but the bigger brother, you seem to have no problem with. The Mini 14 fires a .223 round, a round so weak one can not ethically hunt deer with it (man sized game). The M14 fires a .308 round with MUCH more power. These "assault rifles" you note are FAR LESS POWERFUL than your average deer hunting gun. 2) (more)

  • @CanadianReich 2) noting what one person did in a massacre in NO WAY gives you the right to legislate against an entire population. Perhaps every single man woman and child in Canada should be treated as potential assassins and legislation passed against them, right? Illogical, biased, unfair, unjust.

  • lmfao, antigun vids ,they are all the same ,full of properganda and misinfromation, your fear mongerring won't work, and thats all you got ,this gov ran on it and won, i bet that pisses you off and i hope it does, this is 2012 now and the lgr is on its way to the trash can , and guess what ,there is still room for libs and ndp ,so jump in ,us pro gunners will take you to the curb, and thats what happened in the last election, guns = freedom

  • You can’t go thinking that gun control will keep you safe that’s how stupid people die!

  • look at how many dislikes you got.

  • 1min 9 secs of total bulllshit. COMMON-SENSE PEOPLE, THAT'S WHAT THIS COUNTRY NEEDS!! These comments are the proof that a Gun ban doesnt do anything to stop people from commiting suicide or killing people!!!

Registred or not, legally acquired or not, bad guys get their hands on guns anyway and WILL do bad things with 'em ANYWAY!!!

  • More people are stabbed to death every year than shot. Where is the knife registry? 44% of all suicides in Canada are by hanging. Where's the rope registry? 38% of women killed by their husbands were beaten/strangled/drowned to death. Where's the bare hand registry?

If a gun registry is so crucial in stopping criminals, why is it that the homicide rate in Canada has never dropped lower than it was in the early 1960's, over a decade before you even needed an FAC to purchase a firearm?

    FAIL

  • anyone who believes the registry will make them safe is a fucken retard strap on your helmets and grab your crayons .......and let the adults talk

  • such bs anyone who things the long gun registry works is truly a fucking idiot.

  • You should be outraged these communists want gun crimes to go up BY TAKING THEM AWAY, LIKE THEY HAVE IN BRITIAN AND AUSTRALLIA

"C-68 has little to do with gun control or crime control, but it is the first step necessary to begin the social re-engineering of Canada." --Liberal senator Sharon Carstairs, 1996.

"Disarming the Canadian public is part of the new humanitarian social agenda." -- Liberal foreign affairs minister Lloyd Axworthy at a gun control conference, Oslo, Norway, 1998

  • @endgunculture... you said "What possible logical argument can be made that people shouldn't register their guns? I have yet to hear one."

How about: billions spent, and nothing to show for it?

Knives are weapons that kill. Where's the knife registry?

This kind of "logic" makes sense only to morons. It's not logic at all, just pandering -- to people's fears, without any good reason.

  • Please google Gun Facts 5.0 and learn the truth about guns, crime, and what they do and do not have to do with one another.

Appeals to "common sense" and emotionalism don't pan out when the facts are seen in the light of day. Gun controls work best when they do the least. Guns in the hands of the law-abiding populace is the best deterrent against crime. Harsh gun control creates "free fire" zones where criminals run rampant with impunity, knowing that they are the only ones with guns.

  • I'm buying ANOTHER Ruger Mini-14 once the long gun registry is abolished! I'm going all out! The government has no right to a list of what I have in my house. At the end of the day the government can't stop crime with a gun by simply having a record of who owns it. A piece of paper has no power to stop someone from committing a crime. Why don't we spend $100 million on tracking violent offenders instead of law abiding citizens?

  • This stupid gun registry will die this month and what will we have to show for it. Nothing, no saved lives and a deeper empty pocket. should have saved that to billion for our current rainy day.

  • What a load of BULLS%$T

NEWS FLASH: CRIMINALS DON'T REGISTER THEIR GUNS

Gun registration doesn't prevent Crime, I just cataloges LAWABIDING CITIZENS

  • @endgunculture

You keep confusing registration with licensing. licensing will stay after the registry is dropped. Licensing is good, it screens all gun owners. The registry is a piece of paper that automatically comes in the mail after you already have the gun in your possession.

How does this stop a mad man?

Give me a list of all the crimes the registry has prevented, solved or detered in this country.

  • Dear endgunculture,

Scrapping the gun registry does not make it easier to have any guns. The registry does no screening of any kind. After you buy a gun, you get the registration (a piece of psper) in the mail automatically a month later.

You either have not taken the time to do your research, or you are lying. Which is it?

You will never end the private ownership of firearms in Canada.

We're here, we own and shoot guns legally, get used to it.

  • Why didn't they show some of the really scary looking guns that are perfectly legal to own and enjoy shooting and killing animals or targets or animals as targets? I think that if some of you Eastern Canadian feminized "men" (term very loosely used here) saw my rumpus room you'd fall on the floor and assume the fetal position. I have lots and lots and even lots more guns! And you Liberal retards don't. I sleep well at night in my house. How about you?

  • @nosleraccubond Errrm... Eastern Canada doesn't disargeed with guns moron. -.-'

  • @SniperViper1000 , that's nice. Now prove it and vote Conservative instead of Liberal for once. You guys can't live on Liberal hand outs forever.

  • @nosleraccubond The majority of Liberals voted to remove the bill the fucknig dumbass.

  • @SniperViper1000 and who elected those Liberals? Not me.

  • i don't get it? what does registering firearms have to do with protecting women?

  • FIRST of all, the 2nd firearm after the Benelli M4 (if you even know which one that was), is a RESTRICTED firearm and will not be affected by Bill C-391.

This just goes to show that people who are for tighter gun control know absolutely nothing about what they're actually supporting. When Bill C-391 passes, you know what'll happen? ABSOLUTELY nothing. There won't be more gun deaths in Canada if the gun registry is removed.

  • You realize that the gun registry is a farce that just eats money, right? If a person wants to commit a criminal act with a gun, they probably aren't going to register it. Heck, they'll probably steal a registered one to use instead... If a drug dealer owns an illegal weapon, do you think they are going to register it? If you answered yes, you're sadly mistaken.

All the gun registry does, is provide a false sense of security.

  • powerfull mini 14???? are you kidding, its not near as powerfull as most ordinary huntimh rifles, of course all you anti gun faireies are about the same, self apointed know it alls who really know squat

  • You anti gun idiots just dont get it.supporting laws directed at the legal ownership of guns does nothing to keep weapons out of the hands of criminals.

If public safty was actualy important to the soft on crime opposition leaders(layton & Ignatieff) they would not regularily oppose efforts directed at criminals and crime.

Your arguments just never hold up when presented with the facts!!

    Down with the gun regestry!!!!

  • Criminals do not register their firearms.

  • What was wrong with any of those guns you showed? A semi auto shotgun with a 5 shot capacity, a ranch rifle again with a 5 shot capacity and a Beretta which is a RESTRICTED weapon meaning it would still have to be registered. Moron.

  • False!

Removing the gun registry does not make it easier to obtain guns.

All such screening comes during licensing. All the registry does is lay a piece of paper beside a gun that has already been legally purchased by a legal screened gun owner.

If your cause is so just, why do you have to lie to people to promote it?

  • endgunculture? Nice name. It reeks of bias and bigotry. The registry was created by cowards like you to control law abiding citizens. It has nothing to do with fighting crime or protecting women against violence. It is a control measure used by statists to enslave their people and keep them under control. If you are all about protecting women why not fight for their right to carry a pistol for their own protection rather than make them out to be mere victims? Typical socialist BS.

  • BOOOOOO do your research man the gun registry doesn't work costs too much and is just another reason why the people fear the government and not the way it should be where they feer the people

  • I have posted a video response. Please be kind enough to accept it. I own a "powerful mini 14".

    -mike

  • Perhaps it's because you are talking to yourself...

  • The problem is that you actually think you make sense... and the tragedy is that rational people are on their ass laughing at you while you go off and vote, and we end up with this government of mean spirited simpletons...

  • So which paid liberal shill are you? Let me guess, you are just a concerned citizen who just popped out of the blue, right? Yeah fat chance of that, I'll bet. Of course you won't tell us your real name, cus after all you are a gun grabber and hence a coward, but whatever.

  • I'm not a Liberal, I'm a conservatives at best, but mostly a libertarian. If your so desperately for my name go look my profile. Also I thought the Age of Enlightment was to use logic over emotion. You guys are using your emotion. The registry simply give too much power to the police which does nothing except infringe our charter of rights. Look at history, all genocide started with gun control. WWII for example; jews in Germany were not permit to own guns, neither is the oppressed.

  • In a sense, government/ police fearing people is a democracy. People fearing government/ police is a tyranny. Just because we're a minority group does not mean we can be targetted. And please not pull the red neck thing, I'm Asian FYI, along with alot of my friends who are gun owners, heck Canada's biggest Gun Forum is started by a non-caucasian person.

  • Dude, I wasn't talking about or too you, but to Endgunculture. Sorry you got that idea, and yes I am on CGN too so I know what you are talking about.

  • "powerful Ruger Mini 14" Let me tell you something, your car going at 50km/h has more kinetic energy (aka kill power) than the entire unrestricted capacity (In Canada its limited to 5, but lets assume 30) of bullets has.

Also a piece of paper does nothing name, address, and serial number only helps the Dawson College victim's families knowing the gun next to the gunman was registered to him. WHEN IN FACT IT SHOULDVE BEEN REVOKE DUE TO HIS BEHAVIOUR PRIOR TO THE EVENT. Registry doesn't help.

  • Regardless of any other possible argument or reason to register guns the simplest fact and argument remains: they are weapons that kill, they should be registered. We register our cars, our pets, money transfers of over $10,000, we expect people to get fishing and hunting licences. We even expect them to get gun licences.

What possible logical argument can be made that people shouldn't register their guns?

I have yet to hear one.

  • Are you really that daft?

    I mean really?

We do not HAVE To registaer our cars or pets. What on earth makes you think that you can? There are registries but not everywhere. You can have as many cars as you like and not register them at all. As long as you do not drive them on the streets.

Then again we should ask WHY. Why do we register cars? Is it to stop crime? Nope.........so your alaogy falls flat on its face.

  • Excuse me, a firearm is design to sent a projectile forward, thats it. A car is senting a projectile forward, (being the projectile itself) How you use it is what makes it a weapon or not, I can tell you the hand your are born with kills more people than any other tools, why? simply because you need your hand to use those tools effectively, by your argument we should register each person's hand, and then ban it like the Liberals did in Order in Council. so when we ban it you amputate you.

  • Stupid 500wc,

registry NEVER STOP crime, its is licensing, did I say to remove licensing? NO, I support licensing, however, we need a stronger licensing system. The registry is useless and pure for pretending to make street safer. Let me ask you a question why should I (criminal hypatherically) bother register my gun? Also next time you get robbed, ask the gunman "may I have your gun serial and registeration number?" Finally all what registry is seizing people's properties.

  • The registry has unlawfully seize properties according to are charter of rights and freedom. Before you say those things deserve to be seize let me give you an analogy. Do we have the right to say, you have teeth looks like vampire so therefore we will kill you to prevent innocent people die. Likewise the guns that were seize we not more potentially dangerous than the ones legal. In gun control fan mind "If it looks scary, it must be dangerous, and deadly"

  • Finally to finish off, alot of scary guns that were seized due to registry includes SPAS-12. Why? there's two acroymns for it. according to its manufacture, its SPORTING purpose automatic shotgun. According to gun control fans eg you, its special purpose assault shotgun. They ban it purely because it sounds dangerous. Let me tell you there's alot of shotgun more deadlier both in single shot, as well as semi auto capabilities legal in Canada. The registry simply helps tyrants to target gun owners

  • @endgunculture The answer is that the government has no right to have a list of what is in my house. This video was misleading and pure propaganda! None of the guns you demonized in this video are actually legal in the form shown. a Submachine gun is illegal, the Mossberg 500 cannot be owned with a magazine holding more than 4 rounds, Ruger mini-14s can't have the 20 or 30 round magazines...tell me, what about a piece of paper will keep you safe if someone wants to use their gun against you?

  • @endgunculture Guns don't kill people, people kill people. I got mugged a couple of weeks ago "live in east toronto" If I had a concealed dessert eagle I would have wasted those mother f***ers. That is what is wrong with our system, it deprives you of the right to defend your self and puts your rights behind the rights of criminals and scum bags. That is why I want to a conservative part of America like Georgia or Texas so you can defend your self and be safe, only 16 though so have to wait.

  • @endgunculture

Dear EndDouche Culture, good job on your research. Your long gun slideshow was very nice, too bad that you included Restricted class rifles as well that would be entirely unaffected by Bill C-391. A the halfway point of your video you showed a Beretta CX Storm, although used by Kimveer Gill @ Dawson college it remains Restricted....for no good reason I might add.

  • @endgunculture

because a little slip of paper that says you gun is registered is not going to stop a criminal in committing crimes with guns all it does is cost the government 2 billion dollars

  • "WHEN IN FACT IT SHOULDVE BEEN REVOKE DUE TO HIS BEHAVIOUR PRIOR TO THE EVENT"

Exactly... this is why we need registration, police use the registration every day to do just that ...

  • LOL you need to do your homework, revokation of registeration won't help, due to his behaviour is only justified to revoke his license. When you revoke a person's registery its only possible when they filed a complete improper one (eg a grenade launcher as a 22 caliber rifle or a rifle but actually a pistol) read the CFC clearly before making your point

  • Actually, you need to review what I said. The police use the registration every day, which is why the Chief's of Police strongly support the Long Gun Registration.

  • LOL police use registry every day, this crap is what I hear every day. Let me tell you I personally know about half a dozen police officer, They all said they used the reigstry before, however, its useless. the times it said they have guns in their home the owner won't even hurt a fly. the times when it not on registry they met people with guns. So tell me how did these people got guns without registering? BECAUSE they smuggle it from outside the country. (US)

  • On your second statement you said police chief support it. I've asked my police chief in person, he replied, its purely political, the Toronto Mayor is running a crusade hiring a police chief ironically in the leader of CACP (go get that acroymn) few days ago he said he fish out guns due to his registry, I find that too much of a concidence and conflict of interest since the bill set to remove it. Honestly, why do I get a feeling I'm talking to a fanatic without researching?

  • Perhaps it is because you are talking to yourself...

  • The problem is that you think you make sense... and the tragedy is that while rational people are on their ass laughing at you, you and your kin go off and vote in this mean spirited government of self-serving egos...

  • Hey, so you believe we should serve the government? We as indidvivdual are less important than society? Then vote for your local White Nationalist Socialist group. (aka Nazi)

I vote for governmeny that keeps my rights and freedom, along with others. I use facts and logically results from history, what did you use? emotion? What happened to our enlightment? Get your facts to me and we can continue, there's no sense. A person without history is a person without eyes and ears. Look at the past.
