Works both ways... does she really deserve your heart back? Why don't you take back yours, after giving it to her? Did she ever really deserve it? Where was hers, anyway?
@mike1950ful I agree with you Mike. This is a very cute song. And Annette was a wonderful and talented singer. You are absolutely right - There was no one like Annette. She had such a pleasant singing voice and her songs are so much fun to listen to. I have loved listening to her songs since 1976 - when I was 17 and bought my first record by Annette - Tall Paul. My favorite song by her is O Dio Mio.
Just thought we could all lighten up with all the Political Correct bull crap. Here's a great example of how our society didn't used to read a bunch of offense into everything. And by the way, Annette was so hot.
She has an accusatory tone about her feelings of betrayal, but that's the ways girls are about the guys that play with their minds. I wish I had had someone to talk to back then, a teenager, i was lost, completely, nowhere to go, no one to run to, except back to myself.
The cutest song Annette ever sang. She had so many great songs that never made the music charts. I first heard this song back in 1977. I still own the 45 with the picture sleeve. I think I paid 3 dollars for it when I bought it in 1978. I wonder how much it is worth now. Thankyou for putting this song on you tube.
hello there thank you for posting all annettes great songs I had the oppertunity to meet her two times in my life and she really is as sweet as she is on camera . she has a gift that non of todays singers will never have the ability to have a great presence and a wonderful lust for life and I only pray that whereever she is that she is happy and enjoying the time she has left god bless you annette and thank you for making all of our lives a much happier place with your palent and singing
Thanks for posting this..I had the 45 as a kid and heaven knows what happened to it. Great song and who cares about Political Correctness, this song is a part of pop history! Thanks again for posting Annettes songs.
Thanks for having the guts to post this very un-PC song. I remember rockin' out to this awesome song when I was a kid. I've often thought of this song throughout the years but couldn't find it until now. It's now in my favorites until the arrogant, self righteous PC police make a ruckus.
This is a much cleaner sounding copy than I have in my collection! Wish they'd release it on cd, but the big D likes to pretend non-PC stuff didn't exist!
I much appreciate all 14 of the Annette tunes you have posted. I have 3 individual CDs of her music plus the "Musical Reunion" 2 CD boxed set. I have about half the songs you posted but it comes closer to a third by the time you allow for odd versions... your post is the first actual copy of "The Strummin' Song" I have found as the copy I have is the once where she breaks up at the end. Cute but nice to now have the full song.
