I agree that Carrie sounds better without editing her voice. At these Target performances and the Walmart Soundcheck performances for her Play On CD, you can tell they edited her voice. She sounds more shrill on high notes and doesn't have as much power as she does when she sings live without processing, which is why people always say she sound better live than on the CD, and I agree.

The only note of Carrie's that benefits from editing is "good time" from Cowboy Casanova.

I might as well say that sometimes there are people too that are very judgmental. Lack of first-hand experience and exposure often leave a person obscured and one-sided.
