Had it towed several times, not reliable. had instrument cluster repl. harmonic balancer, tires every 8 mos. trashes you my mx5 handles much better auto trans cost 9000 to repl. overated junk! I have a folder 2" thick of repairs! its all in the looks but after 30,000 mi. look out! BMW repair shop @ 180.00/ hr. brakes $1200 pretty car , but big trouble. turbos break alot Ive had some stay away from those turbos. unreliable! Sorry I bought Mini!
All day every day. I see how idiots try to compare a pathetic Focus to a MINI. Not close. I'm on my second MINI. But this time I bought the 2011 Cooper S. And I never looked back on a 2011 Mustang V6 EVER again. I'm very happy about my choice. I'm so happy cause whenever I'm at a light, every stares or asks about it or tells me how sick or cool it looks with White Silver Metallic and black tints. Peace!

You're eating your knees in every seat, the clutch is like a goddamn tractor, you can't reach anything on the dash without going off the road, you can't see the gauges behind the wheel, there's no armrests, and the seats are like padded saddles. One of the worst daily drivers ever. Get a Ford Focus before you get one of these BMW-made pieces of shit.

Back in my hometown my parents have a mini cooper S convertible and we could fit 4 people in it. Me being 5'11", my ex girlfriend 5'4", my cousin 6'6" and his buddy 6'8". Only did it once and wasnt that comfortable
@KubaBooba The suspension is rougher than many cars, but it's nothing horrible. The 07+ have a softer suspension than the older models (not as rough and sporty, but still great). There isn't a ton of space back there if you have 6 foot tall people in the front, but I'm 5' 5" and that leaves plenty of room in the back for other people. I've had no issue with taking 4 people. The MINI is it's own beast compared to Smart. MINI is a drivers car. You will enjoy the drive not worry about A to B
This car also gets it's handling from one of the best handling companies in the WORLD. BMW. I'd never buy a MINI if some one like Ford bought it off BMW like they did with Land Rover.

No, but really, he's not lying. It is a turbo from 2007 onward. The new turbo allows for more flexibility in modifying the engine. Its a well tuned turbo. Second-third gear is where the power really is and if you're making a turn during that gearshift...omg...yeah, you get the point. yup, I love my mini too much.

its not a clock. its the spedometer. theres an option to put a navigation system in the middle but the spedometer is still there, surrounding the navi system.

I have a 2008 Mini Cooper S near fully loaded, and the only thing that has had to be repaired out of warranty or out of the routine maintenance schedule is when it was backed into another car. My only complaint is that the silver plastic in the car's interior feels a little cheap.
My friend just bought one. I am 6-2 280 and he is 6-5 340. We both sat in one and there is room. getting in and out wasn't a problem. Very suprising indeed. And for those of you waiting to comment, no the tires didn't blow and we didn't bust the frame. It is a good car for what it is. But for exactly why he wanted it is beyond me. They are NOT cheap in price.
I know at least 3 people who own Minis and they have had no problems with them yet. One of them lives in Minneapolis, -20 degree weather and it's only had to go in once for maintenance! Which is unusual, because Minis aren't really great winter cars.
i just have to say, this car is a lot of fun, but dont be fooled. this car will have you going to the garage on a weekly basis, it is rollercoster like, but the harder you drive it the more shit will go wrong with it. fun to drive yes, nice to look at it yes, expensive yes, hard on tires yes, hard on the pocket book yes, take it from someone who ones one.

Well, it really depends on your personal geometry. Some big people fit great is some small cars, some small people fit too. The opposite is also true; some big folks fit better in larger cars and vice versa. You just need to get in and drive. One of my buddies is over 6ft, in his late 50s and is able to get into the backseat even and be comfortable. Just try it out.

Yeah there are but the emphasize the mini cooper's size because its so small and light for a relatively big engine. Horsepower means nothing if its not compared to weight. So basically 150 horse power on a heavy ass mustang will not move the car... but that same horsepower on a light mini is like a flea with a jet pack

I have a 2008 Mini Cooper S near fully loaded, and the only thing that has had to be repaired out of warranty or out of the routine maintenance schedule is when it was backed into another car. My only complaint is that the silver plastic in the car's interior feels a little cheap.

My friend just bought one. I am 6-2 280 and he is 6-5 340. We both sat in one and there is room. getting in and out wasn't a problem. Very suprising indeed. And for those of you waiting to comment, no the tires didn't blow and we didn't bust the frame. It is a good car for what it is. But for exactly why he wanted it is beyond me. They are NOT cheap in price.

I know at least 3 people who own Minis and they have had no problems with them yet. One of them lives in Minneapolis, -20 degree weather and it's only had to go in once for maintenance! Which is unusual, because Minis aren't really great winter cars.

i just have to say, this car is a lot of fun, but dont be fooled. this car will have you going to the garage on a weekly basis, it is rollercoster like, but the harder you drive it the more shit will go wrong with it. fun to drive yes, nice to look at it yes, expensive yes, hard on tires yes, hard on the pocket book yes, take it from someone who ones one.

Well, it really depends on your personal geometry. Some big people fit great is some small cars, some small people fit too. The opposite is also true; some big folks fit better in larger cars and vice versa. You just need to get in and drive. One of my buddies is over 6ft, in his late 50s and is able to get into the backseat even and be comfortable. Just try it out.

No. Mini are very safe. Go check the crash test of the mini. It passed the Euro Crash Tests above average. More than average. It seems small from out side. But it is pretty wide inside. I Think it's because of the shape of the mini

Yeah there are but the emphasize the mini cooper's size because its so small and light for a relatively big engine. Horsepower means nothing if its not compared to weight. So basically 150 horse power on a heavy ass mustang will not move the car... but that same horsepower on a light mini is like a flea with a jet pack
