Actually in the last 30 seconds there is no conciusness.In the phase which is called end of life, or when death rattle begins to occur, in most cases the person in in and out of coma constantly. In the last 3 - 4 hours the person is unconciuss and is usually breathing thru a breathing machine until the family removes the machine. After it is removed there is no more pulse after 30 seconds, and what happens after that is anybodys guess. However being an atheist I can assume that there is nothing.

Actually in the last 30 seconds there is no conciusness.In the phase which is called end of life, or when death rattle begins to occur, in most cases the person in in and out of coma constantly. In the last 3 - 4 hours the person is unconciuss and is usually breathing thru a breathing machine until the family removes the machine. After it is removed there is no more pulse after 30 seconds, and what happens after that is anybodys guess. However being an atheist I can assume that there is nothing.

I'm fortunate to have heard him speak. Such a privilege. Without such men I fear the world may sink into darkness, moreover because of men such as Mr. Hitchens, the world is a little brighter. I recently found out I have cancer and have had an operation removing part of my lung. I find it very hard to belive that he did not turn to God at some point.

What a terrible lose for humanity because today we lost a courageous free thinker who liberated thousands from the bonds of religion. If Christopher is in hell, as the muslims and christians claim and assert, then I hope to meet him there when my time comes.
