Sounds funny to me to hear it sung by a female. George used to sing this himself with the band Wozani in the UK in the mid 80's, mainly around the Leeds area. Used to go and see them pretty much every week particularly at the Harvesters in Bramley.

thanks Ch4lie Jabulani was in fact released in 1984. don't you mean "Bushman" ? written by Russel Kramer released in 1982 on an album called "no going back" ... according to my source.

"original song and video" ? this is it ... PJ Powers is the "original" artist who 1st wrote & performed the song in 1985 together with her band at the time "Hotline", what are you asking for miminawewe ?

The song I used to hear was much longer than what I see here. I liked the part jabu jabu jabulani (by male voices), then reenters PJ power with her sweet voice. I never owned a discd of it, only heard it in the radio.

you will see in the description of the video this is only an "excerpt of PJ Powers aka Thandeka performing her hit Jabulani" I am afaid that was all I filmed (due to copyright issues !)

16 Greatest Hits" which I recently saw on special at Musica/CD Warehouse, if you are not in SA try 1 of the online stores like kalahari, look & listen etc
