When he arrived back home he wasn't screaming all night long because of pain, it was actually because laura died.
So I guess it was meant to tell: his pain are not as important as his loss and her life is more important than his life
Everything is up to speculation. The scene after the credits shows a newspaper with the headline "bride of frankenstein" (there is a movie with that name too), which may be a cliffhanger for a sequel. Or may mean, that the Sam and the doctor married.
@redwolf2222 I watched it again just to understand it... it's a little hard to see but I think it's actually not a newspaper but a Daedalus Club riddle -- implying that the whole game has been a Grand Game all this time.
@MsAmadita well, considering that dr. styles was called a "monster" by that little girl at the park...it could mean they got married later on? sam is considered a freak among her friends, so it's plausible. whether or not there will be a sequel, i think it's safe to say their relationship grew after the events since she's staying in his house. it's kinda like the end of my fair lady. it's not a definite yes, but it's mostly likely.
the story of the game was the best , but if only the game was developed by quantic dream the guys who made heavy rain .. ooh that would have been something extraordinary !
@urbium masterpiece, totally - it starts a little slow and control system isn't well explained in the first rush, but after 3 chapters the game starts "sucking you into the plot", TOTALLY.
you giving it too much credit, the game is too easy, i didnt even once needed to use walkthrough, or even stuck for more than 10 minutes, and soundtack i must say is nice, but its reapeting over and over, would be nice to change it in every chapter, and puzzles with magic tricks..... well i dont know they even add them, you just follow whats written in the magic tricks book, is that was a riddle for people who cant read? In the end the only whats left is good plot and decent graph
this wasnt great as Gabriel Knight as a story

the story is perfect! the only thing I would add is a more personal relationship between the two protagonists.
