  • I have watched this young man for many years now. He was absolutely great the very first time I witnessed him play in Central City Ky, at the thumbpicking contest. He was disqualified for too much excessive thumb use in a song. I still ponder this one. But this I do know, He is a fine as person as He is a great guitar player. And he is truly a great guitarist

  • I don't want Rattled Assasin to get ahead of me. I take lessons from Wesley as well. But, I can't play like that............... yet!

    Big Ron

  • Seriously, impressive! My Dad used to sing this song as part of a trio in Ukrainian (apparently it's been translated to many languages over the years). It was made into a more Christian song with the lyrics but the main message is still the same and does have a positive interpretation as well after highlighting the sadness.

  • It sounds so mysterious. So beautiful. So pure.

  • put the hairs standin on the back of my neck... fantastic finger work on the guitar an u can't beat natural talent!!!!

  • Why does the song have to be sad and full of suffering? Maybe he intended the song to be a Happy Interpretation - imagine that - taking a sad song and turning it into a Happy song. This man puts feeling into every song he plays - how do I know? - I take lessons from him - great guy and an amazing guitar player.

  • @RattledAssasin The predominant emotion isn't Woe Is Me, but I'm Coming Home.

  • HI all i just watched this 2 times and i think he played the song a little fast

and like someone else said it lacks emotion. But i have to say the guys a great guitar player and if he slowed it down a bit and put some feeling into it would be alot better. I just wish i had his talent then i would show him how to play it lol.

  • @4spd4evr It has another meaning. It also talks about coming to the final home and meeting the savior and your family. We sing this at my church in our little group and I love his version too. If you ever hear it sung, listen to the words.

  • as great as he plucks it, he really missed the feeling... maybe he hasn't suffered enough to understand such a sad song?

  • captbadhand- I don't know what you'd call emotion, but you can't get much more into a tune than what Wesley did here. This boy reall smokes when he's picking, and he's a fine guy too.

  • @EddiePennington Hi there Eddie emotion is what it is. You can't call it any thing. We all feel different about emotions. If anybody read my coments they would see I respected the players ability to play. Art is an interpertation.

This man is a great guitarist!! I just did not feel the song. It is just a opinion. Captbadhand

  • szívesen leírnám angolul mit jelent az hogy érzelmet belevinni egy dalba de nem hiszem hogy megértenéd inkább hallgasd

  • Hi there Nice guitar work, but it lacks emotion. The playing does not convey the emotion of the song. Many players can play the notes, few can bring feeling to the notes.

    Captbadhand

  • If this is no emotion, I wanna know what is?

  • @playfrog Check out Fretliller on this tune. You will see what I mean. I ment no disrespect to the player, he is great! Captbadhand

  • @captbadhand I think your bringing him down cause he is just playing the tune not the lyrics, and the lyrics are the emotions, but hes a brilliant picker and does the tune justice

  • Awesome picking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • As for his performance, there is force

He is Puwr men of America

  • Estupendo! thank you x :D

  • this is awesome! its goood to see this man using the talent God gave him!! AMAZING

  • Wow!!! So talented. I'd give my left one to be able to play like that. Seriously.

  • Wow, wow, wow! Superb music - what talent! Please check my humble vocal version of this wonderful song.

  • There are very few people who can drive that thumb like Chet and still be slick. This guy is a true talent! WOW!

  • I love this song. And Crider picked it so well...

    Thanks for uploading man.

    -Raptor, out.

  • You are amazing!!!!!

    Martin
