  • oh, Lynnie Greene, please survive your fifties.

unless this episode is terribly cursed!

  • 3 out of the 4 celebrities are dead!

  • Not a bad pilot, this should've sold, it did to GO, 6 years later

  • YES!!! I finally get to see this again! This was on the Elvira special on the Game Show Network (not GSN), on Halloween Night... WHAT YEAR WAS IT?! 1998???

  • @PatrioticPirate It had to be in the Fall of 1978. Lynnie Greene was on a sitcom on CBS that year called "On Our Own".

  • This is one convoluted way of playing. No wonder this show didn't last.

  • the correct answer bell and the time's up buzzer are the same as the $20,000 Pyramid.

  • the lights as a time remind me of a computer download.. but, I think a clock would have been easier to follow ...

  • Should point out -- this was taped on October 30, 1977.

  • Scratch that -- *November* 30, 1977. Got the date re-confirmed about ten minutes ago.

  • Robert Urich was one of the rogue motorcycle cops in 1973s "Magnum Force".

  • Steve Edwards was the meteorologist for the KNXT (now KCBS)-TV's "Channel 2 News" back around 1978.

  • @tyrese3745 Steve Edwards now hosts "Good Day L.A.", a morning show on KTTV in L.A.

  • @azzonie OH, that's Steve Edwards? I liked him a lot when he was on "Good Day Live."

Robert Urich and John Ritter- two of my biggest crushes growing up :)

  • bell to give the answer is the same as the bell used to give the answer in chain reaction and the correct answer bell is the same as go when you hit the button to answer

  • you have none lol

  • Was a local LA talk show personality Steve Edwards also a game show announcer?

  • The set has a $20,000 Pyramid flavor to it.

  • I remember GSN airing this in 2000, and I remember liking Robert Urich's and the woman contestant's responses to John Ritter when he said 'Woody Allen' after "Play It Again, Sam". They'd forgotten in the moment about that movie. Decent comcept, and it was a shame the bonus game never turned up anywhere else! A real winner!

  • this I think could have sold with a better host and it might have lasted a couple of seasons if they kept getting the right celebs.

  • The host is kind of a douchebag.... X-(

  • agreed Steve was possibly stiffer here than any other host I've seen.

  • Don't call hosts a douchebag. How would you like it when someone calls Chuck Henry a bitch? That wouldn't be nice at all.

  • How dare you call Chuck Henry a bitch! He's nothing of the kind.

  • Yep. With all of the comments the celebs were making, Steve basically said nothing or repeated the score. A good host would have interacted more and made the game more enjoyable.

  • Is the host related to Geoff Edwards?

  • I do not think so.

  • Wrong you are. He's not related to Geoff.

  • Thank God!

  • Steve is the brother that Geoff is ashamed of... LOL jk.

  • Geoff and Steve are not brothers nor cousins.

  • Wow- 3 of the 4 celebrities on this show died in their fifties.

  • That's quite an opening. Certainly grabs the attention.

  • Two Lips for a mouth was funny.

  • R.I.P. to the following celebrities who were on "Get Rich Quick!":

    Robert Urich (1946-2002)

    Debralee Scott (1953-2005)

    John Ritter (1948-2003)

  • How is this by any means necessary?

  • Because this pilot is sincerely cursed, especially considering how they died.
