  • great overview

  • i want to start geocaching but idk if i will like it what kind of gps would be good

  • @dumbo354 If you are not sure if you will like geocaching or not I suggest borrowing a gps from a friend or better yet go out with another geocacher and let them show you some of the tricks of the trade. Ebay has some nice deals once in a while. Garmin Etrex has a lower cost for beginners. Good luck and I hope you find yourself liking geocaching.

  • Whatis a good GPS for beginners that are cheapskates? Thanks Bro!

  • @D0cTerG0nZ0 LOL - Not cheapskates, just frugal ;) Ebay has a bunch that you can get at a good price. I highly recommend a Garman 60CSx for the best bang for the buck if you want to buy new. Budget is everything and there are a ton out there for pretty much every one.

  • today i hide my first cache. i am waiting now that someone reviewed it. i am really excited, who will find it :-)

    Thanks for the interesting video.

  • @butterbluemchen90 You are very welcome and let me know how it turns out. Just remember a lot goes into a geocache hide and if they don't all flock to get to it, don't be discouraged. Some start faster than others.

  • Cool! Looking forward to trying this out myself. :)

  • Oh please do and if you have any questions let me know. There are tons of geocaching goodness on my blogs and Geosnippits website!

  • It's funny that you mention that.. I am often referred to as HHH so Hcubed would just be a natural progression to the theme. Thanks for giving me something to think about. -HHH

  • My friend pulled my into geocaching about month ago, at first day i found 5 caches and now I have been to places i have never thought about before :)

  • Nice little capsule up in the tree, Must be hard to find.

  • Bison tubes in a tree, grapevine or many other knoocks and crannies can be a real challenge sometimes but then again that is all part of the fun.

  • So, can you give a hint on which GPS unit (s) might be best for this activity? Need to work under forest cover, etc. Thanks for any GPS info.

  • I liked it.. Ever think of doing movie tutorials?

  • Why yes and we are going strong with making them. Thanks for adding to the suggestions.

  • This was a good quick introduction to geocaching, but I believe the text slides have a duration that is too short. I am not either a fast or a slow reader, but I had to back up and rerun every single text slide in order to read it all. The text slides need 1.5 to 2 times the duration to be comfortably read.

  • 3:50 looks very familiar to me LOL....JC&C
