  • john lennon Rules This Was Dislike By The Guy Who Shot John :O

  • Mista Colins

You are so right. This was a home made demo. The Beatles all owned small tape recorders. They even used George's own 3M 8 track in Apple Studios and needed to borrow two Abbey Road 4 channel boards to use it!

  • This version is nice, and people have to realize that it was sung just for fun.

  • Wich photo session is the picture on this video someone knows? i want a t-shirt with that picture

  • @resiev15 that photo is the cover of a special rolling stone from a month ago. it was the Beatles 100 greatest songs. on the inside it says - photographed in London on April 9th, 1969 by Bruce McBroom. i don't know if it will help.

  • Wich photo session is the picture on this video someone knows?

  • this version sounds less tired than the original

  • i love the the woo at 1:04. this version is amazing!

  • THis is no where in hell a cover you dumbass's Yall are so fuckin stupid!

  • pas les beatles copie....

  • Its just a part of the breakup songs !!...

  • This is not a cover you idiots. It's so obvious.

And in my opinion, this is better than the White Album version.

  • @Heidibear76 Check your ears sweet tits. Obviously it's sped up, and the vocal has been double tracked in unison, but it's Lennon, not a cover

  • @Heidibear76 If you cannot tell that this is not a cover, you don't deserve to call yourself a Beatles fan. I mean really, it's pretty damn obvious.

  • @Heidibear76 hahahaha....obviously you're the biggest fool of them all.

  • This version seems like it's a bit sped up from the one I have (the tapes they made when they got back from India). Anyway, this murders the album version IMO.

  • es un cover :(

  • Sorry Shadynevermind I posted before reading your comment. Do you think he'd already written Happiness Is A Warm Gun by this point?

  • @randyatlantis oh shit your so fuckin right lol thats awsome!

  • I'm guessing this song led to him writing Happiness Is A Warm Gun as the spoken bit at 2.10 is very similar ('when I hold you...') as is the chord progression.

  • i love the white album so much hearing these demos is so nice

  • john lennon was a genius.

  • @joemoe23 so was paul mccartney watch let it be the film. you'll understand

  • 2:06 is a bit from Happiness is a Warm Gun. Interesting that he had it as part of this song. He changed the words around a little removing 'charms'. I love that youtube brings all these fans together that have all these jewels I've never heard before.

  • @Shadynevermind Clearly for laughs!

"When I hold you in your arms,

When you show each one of your charms,

I wonder should I get up and go to the funny farm."

  • Is this one of the 'Esher Demos' recorded at George's house (Kinfauns)?

  • John and Paul, the men with a million voices. John never usually sang with such a sweet tone. Even though it sounds amazing, it doesn't capture the mood of the song nearly as well as the album version. If I had done it I might have put this lighter, sweeter bit at the end of the song, signifying that he had gone into dream world. But I'm sure as hell no Beatle or George Martin.

  • @superman11978 It's the compression of the recording mixed in with his actualy singing voice.

Most Beatles recordings had minor pitch increases/decreases because John hated the sound of his natural recorded voice.

  • omg...there is so much demo stuff/ recordings i have never heard !! i want to hear every note ! But, i would have to have been there with them ! so sad, but i will take everything i can get !!! :)

  • it's in a higher key

  • i like how john's songs typicaly begin as folk turn into rock or experimental forms for the lp's

  • That's just because he used an acoustic guitar to write his songs and in the studio they used mostly electric instruments.

  • Świetne !!!

  • Even better than the one on the White Album!

  • I very like doemo and recording version too of Beatles song!!! =)

(ps I've got many of them on my mp4!! XD)

Thanks by me too, to take it!!!

  • Thanks for posting the Demo! This is great!!!! :D

  • This is amazing!!<3

    Thanks for posting!!=)
