  • 幾好, 教曉好多人, 不過唔好咁精英主義, 唔該.

  • 成日話香港人永遠乜永遠乜...

    如果冇e句

    個教材會順耳好多。

  • the way most HK people pronounce the "e" in words like "enjoy", "target" "pocket" "jacket" really bothers me... maybe it's worthy pointing that out? i haven't gone through all your videos yet so if you've already mentioned it please disregard my comment. thanks for your patience~

  • English does not make sense. How do the Anglos pronoucne "ONE" 'wun'? The "O" is pronounced as "W" and the vowel is placed in the middle rather in the beginning. Also the vowel sound is not even correct.

  • We should be proud of our accent!!Yes, I am from Hong Kong, have you got a problem with that? Why bother sucking up to the British/American?

  • once u associate with english native speakers sumday,u will regret what u said rite here.

  • true the easiest way to get rid of accent is by speaking more

  • Why doesn't the author understand that Cantonese is the spoken language among HK Chinese. If you don't use English everyday, you will never master the sounds properly. Stop fussing about it.

  • actually I think it's really common to use English in Hong Kong, such as having communication with the others(There is a lot of foreigner). I feel shame that I heard Cantonese to speak English like that!

  • is that a must for this pronounciation?

i've looked up in the dictionary, it's really pə for professor, but for potential, i found pə in OALD(oxford) but pəʊ in CALD(cambridge), so what's your opinion on this?

  • I am from HK, but have been staying in UK for some time now. I believe I have managed to get rid of most if not all of the HK accent. I never realised what was the problems in our spoken english in the past. Very good and logistical analysis.

  • u wasted a lot of papaer lol

  • u are my hero!!!

  • linguistics nightmares for me...ahhhhh

  • post more pros

  • Thank you.

  • thanks. though this is a big waste of paper

  • wa... he pronounced vowel as "wow" wor..
