If I remember correctly, there was an invention that went wrong to make everyone fall in love with amy and they discovered vanilla was the antidote which is why amy was so shocked to see him drink a vanilla flavoured drink and still sing cause he really did love her. :)
@flareshadow was part of the eppisode, the chocolates they ate were a love potion, the antidote was vanilla, so them cutting to the can ment he wasnt under the spell, he really did love amy and was singing for her on his own without any other motive than he really DOES love her, awwww <3
